Chemistry Tutor Smithfield, QLD
Tutoring is essentially an aid for student's learning in schools. The most important thing that a chemistry tutor can do is to ignite students' passion for learning. This can be acheived through helping them with questions and concepts that they find confusing, guiding them to develop their own problem solving strategies and most importantly…

Chemistry Tutor Brinsmead, QLD
The most important thing that a tutor can do for a student is to engage the student in a way which makes them want to keep learning that specific subject if not fall in love with it. At the end of the day motivation must come from the student themself and as a tutor I believe it is my job to help the student find that motivation. I believe my…

Chemistry Tutor Smithfield, QLD
A good tutor will help students develop the problem-solving skills necessary so that they are confident in their abilities when faced with a difficult question outside the session. A tutor should be there to guide the student towards their own conclusions, whilst ensuring all gaps in understanding are filled. Importantly, a tutor must provide a…

Jon has a very approachable teaching style and even after 1 lesson has provided some fantastic tips for my daughter for maths. Jon explains things simply and provides a very relaxed atmosphere, my daughter commenting she doesn't feel silly about asking questions.

Inside AeroglenTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 8 student Layla focused on calculating simple interest and applying Pythagoras' theorem to right-angled triangles, alongside exam revision.

For Year 9, Sophia tackled simplifying index laws and evaluated questions involving integers and order of operations using her recent school test as a guide.

Meanwhile, Year 10 student Will worked through quadratic equations in maths and practiced naming covalent compounds and writing chemical equations for chemistry.

Recent Challenges

A Year 9 student struggled to keep track of materials, arriving without essential study gear and losing a previous homework sheet; this led to redoing work instead of moving forward.

As one tutor observed, "he didn't complete assigned study questions," which meant time was spent reviewing basics rather than tackling new problems in algebra and geometry.

In Year 11, missing or incomplete homework became a pattern—several lessons ended with unfinished assignments, leaving sign errors in equations unaddressed.

The hesitation to clarify task instructions in a senior assignment delayed progress and left formatting issues unresolved before the next submission deadline.

Recent Achievements

One Aeroglen tutor noticed a real shift with a Year 10 student who used to wait for prompts before starting questions—now she's begun working through complex problems independently, even finishing all textbook exercises without help.

A Year 11 student, after initially needing step-by-step support on tree diagrams, recently managed to apply those skills to more challenging assignments and made teacher-requested changes on her own.

Meanwhile, in a Year 5 session, a student who'd struggled with division surprised everyone by tackling new division problems solo and then asked the tutor for extra practice on fractions.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Maddie worked very well with my son, making it as enjoyable as possible for him.

Shengyang is an awesome tutor. He explains the methods really well and makes sure i understand everything before i proceed to the next question. I have improved in my maths since he has been tutoring me.

Oliver is a lovely young man, he and Cameron are working well together. He seems to be a bit more confident already.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Stratford Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Mother of Good Counsel School.
