Legal Studies Tutor Cranebrook, NSW
Apart from solely the academic component of teaching, there is a humanitarian element that I really enjoy. I think teaching the course content optimally and elevating your student's understanding is objectively the most important role as a tutor. However, I truly believe that providing an uplifting and entertaining class atmosphere for the student…

The most important things a tutor can do for the student is help uncover their learning style, improve their skills, build confidence in a student and improve their study skills. It is essential for tutors to build a good rapport and advance students' growth and success. I'm organised and have strong time-management skills, which are important…

Legal Studies Tutor Hobartville, NSW
The utterly most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to listen and understand. To listen to them talk about where they need the extra help and why the believe they do not get the certain material, and to understand how they best learn. I believe that tutoring is beneficial to both parties as I am able to teach my students as well as…

Local Reviews

My daughter looks forward to the tutoring session and is really adapting to the subject with Nupur's guidance. Nupur makes it look easy and helps her to understand the concept better and also works on instilling the confidence to try on her own.

Inside CastlereaghTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 4 student Isaac worked on BODMAS and long division, then reviewed English creative writing homework by distinguishing between literal and metaphorical language.

In Year 9, Luke focused on solving algebraic equations involving moving pronumerals and numbers across the equals sign, as well as revising exponent rules in algebra.

Zahraa, in Year 12 Economics, refined an essay draft by strengthening arguments about economic objectives and policies, also reviewing how tariffs affect government and consumer revenue.

Recent Challenges

During a recent Year 9 maths lesson, distraction was evident: "He often writes something on his page or does a drawing which significantly lowers his concentration." This led to frequent forgetting of formulas and difficulty applying them in composite area problems.

In Year 12 English, an assignment was left incomplete the night before it was due, so not all criteria were addressed in time.

Earlier, a Year 3 student avoided revising previous grammar lessons; as noted, knowledge retention dropped after breaks without practice.

In these moments, unfinished work or lost focus meant key skills weren't cemented when most needed.

Recent Achievements

A Castlereagh tutor recently noticed a big shift in a Year 10 student who used to get distracted during maths—he managed to moderate his fidgeting and stick with revision notes, which made it easier for him to review after the holidays.

In senior English, one student began handing in drafts early and asking for detailed feedback, something she'd avoided before because of uncertainty about her writing.

Meanwhile, a Year 4 learner started openly correcting her own mistakes with contractions rather than waiting for prompts from the tutor, finishing the lesson by identifying and fixing three errors on her own.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Jennifer has been amazing. Lily will miss her weekly sessions - she has learned a lot because of Jennifers quietly persistent style.

The tutoring is going great. Bryce is great and has made a great connection with Ethan. Ethan looks forward to his session and he is already feeling more confident with his maths. Bryce was the perfect choice for Ethan.

aura is doing very well with Sasha and I am very happy with the way she is teaching Sasha.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Penrith City Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Castlereagh Public School.
