Year 10 student Caim worked through Cambridge Chapters 2A and 2B, focusing on bivariate data introduction and investigating associations between categorical variables using practical examples.

Year 7 Ashraf completed spelling tests targeting commonly misspelled words and suffixes, then practiced TEEL paragraph structure in responses to reading comprehension texts.

For primary support, a Year 3 student took an English assessment covering reading skills and tackled worksheets on irregular verbs and helping verbs for grammar reinforcement.

Recent Challenges

Homework completion has been inconsistent, especially in recent sessions—English homework was not submitted for both Year 7 and Year 9 tasks.

"Needs to do homework; is neglecting it," one tutor noted after a missed assignment.

Written work frequently lacked structure and clarity, with paragraphing issues seen in a Year 8 narrative piece, and wordy sentences affecting Year 10 essay responses.

Distraction during lessons remains common: a Year 7 student repeatedly lost focus while reading comprehension tasks, requiring several prompts to return to task.

As you say it is hard to gauge the impact this early, however they seem to have a few laughs and Steve has said Jack is a lot faster in his response time. So that's progress considering Jack's willingness to begin extra learning was very poor. It didn't take more than 2 lessons for that to change.
