A success of being a tutor is the success of building their students' confidence, not only in their study but in their life as well. I used to get lower grades in the…
The most important thing that a tutor can do for a student is always listen to what the student needs and try to expand upon their techniques that they use in their subjects. One of the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to provide a new way of learning and being able to adapt to the student's needs. Whether that is by taking your time with the a particular student, or by encouraging them and pushing them to do the more complex questions. My main strength as a tutor would be my ability to explain a…

Not only help them with understanding the concepts they are struggling with, but to also teach them problem solving methods so that they can be independent in the future. I've always struggled with conventional learning techniques utilised by teachers (and even my lecturers now), and I've had to develop my own intuitions to the concepts that they…
I think the most important thing I can do is to help them love the subject. A lot of people are "scared" of Mathematics, but I think it would be really fulfilling for me as a tutor when someone I taught starts enjoying and loving the subject. I am a very patient person and I tend to overdo myself, so I feel like as a tutor, I would do my best to…
I think the most important thing a tutor can do is to equip a student with critical thinking skills relating to HOW to approach a problem. If a student can frame a problem, or recognize which tools are appropriate, then the rest becomes much more manageable. - I have a good knowledge of subjects, and their applications.
- I can often recommend…

Firstly, I think tutors should be friendly toward students and they should try students to be comfortable around them. Secondly, tutors need to be patient with students and explain every questions students can ask for. Lastly, tutors…
The most important thing a tutor can do for their students is to connect with them so that students can feel free to tell them whether they understand a particular topic or not. This helps the tutor to know what exact topics to help the students. My strengths as a tutor would be ability to connect with the students at their level and also my aim…
Make them feel confident and comfortable to at least ask questions when they don’t understand something. I feel that quite often when we don’t understand something in school we stay quiet and don’t say anything and assume we will just be able ti figure it out on our own but usually that doesn’t work. Having the confidence to ask questions…
The most important thing a tutor can teach their student is to be able to sucessfully tackle a subject by themselves. I believe this is achieved by providing the student with a strong base on the subject and adapting them to gradually think independently. However I also believe this the hardest thing to learn and it can also take many years for a…
I think the most important thing a tutor can do is to give his/her students the confidence to independently tackle any task or question that they encounter in their education careers. Teach them that true knowledge comes in understanding concepts and how they apply in real life, not just memorisation of assessed components. Generally I feel I am good at understanding my…
Alex, he helped Matt enormously. Not only the actual helping him understand how to tackle some questions but I feel Matt gained confidence going into the exams feeling like there were now no areas he had a poor knowledge of . He was particularly happy with his 2nd maths exam but in both cases he said there questions he would not have been able to answer without Alex's help.
Miah seems to be responding well to her tutoring sessions with Alex.
She is feeling less conscious about her problems with maths - which is great.
Thanks for following up. Daniel has been fantastic and we appreciate his diligence.
