Being patient and flexible. Each child has a different learning style and speed. Therefore tutors need to be able to understand that and try new methods to teach if their current one is not very effective. My strengths as a tutor include being fun. I can teach students in a way that engages them, but I also know when I need to be firm. I am very…

I think the most important things a tutor can do for a student are to understand their needs, create a custom study plan, and keep them motivated. It's essential to know what each student is good at and what they find challenging. By making a unique study plan that moves at a pace that's right for them, students can learn better without feeling…

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to offer them support and encouragement. Tutors don't necessarily need to teach students but help students find something in the subject which interests them, a form of refocusing them on their education. I am an approachable person in general which I believe is vital when educating…

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student would probably be helping the student to exceed their academic potential by guiding them through topics and further supplying them with non-routine questions that will push their limits in knowledge and excel in the future. Furthermore, I believe another important thing a tutor can do for a…

I believe that the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to understand them. Many kids struggle at school and with their parents , be it academically or otherwise, this could be due to a number of reasons. However, from my personal experience I have found it to be the lack to communication between the child and the adults that…

I believe that the most important thing about a tutor is their ability to motivate and encourage a student in their learning journey. It is…

The most important things a tutor can do is to be encouraging and patient! A lot of students may dislike sciences for the reasons they have been taught. Rather than knowing how concepts work, I think it is equally important to teach why concepts work and where they came from all whilst remaining patient and encouraging. I am enthusiastic, patient…

One of the most important things a tutor can do for their student is boost their morale. I believe tutor should share their experience with their students. As someone who has walked in their shoes, tutors should be able to share new knowledges and experiences, something that a teacher wouldn’t be able to sympathise with. Therefore, besides teaching them facts about a specific topics, tutors should go above and beyond, providing…

The most important thing is ensuring you build confidence in a students understanding of the subject as a whole as it is through this that a student would be able to face any questions that may be posed to them and have confidence within themselves that they are able to understand the topics given throughout their learning. Without this, you would…

Local Reviews

Very pleased with the tutoring and will definitely recommend to family and friends,
Rouchelle Jeremiah, Dandenong

Inside DandenongTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 6 student Ayaan worked on adding and comparing decimals, then moved to a practice test focused on basic algebraic expressions.

Year 8 student Zara tackled statistics by finding mean, median, mode, and range using real data sets, followed by interpreting stem-and-leaf plots.

Meanwhile, Year 9 student Michael prepared for an upcoming algebra assessment by creating linear equations from graphs and exploring intercepts through targeted practice questions.

Recent Challenges

A Year 9 student did not complete assigned homework, which limited their grasp of recent algebra content—"needs to work on completing homework assigned by tutor to be able to get a better grasp of knowledge."

In Year 11, time management in assessments was a challenge; extra minutes were spent searching through notes instead of solving problems directly.

One Year 7 learner hesitated when facing multi-step worded questions, sometimes pausing midway and doubting their approach despite knowing the method.

When asked to show working for area calculations, another student initially struggled but responded after prompting, showing the impact that process habits have on confidence during revision.

Recent Achievements

A Dandenong tutor noticed Haylee, a high school student, has started writing her own notes more effectively and now uses them when tackling test questions—something she hesitated to do before.

In another session, Elma (also in high school) was able to work through most practice test problems independently after previously needing regular prompting.

Meanwhile, Amelia from Year 7 remembered how to convert units accurately for the first time without hints, having struggled with this step earlier in the term.

Last week, Haylee finished an entire worksheet applying new techniques on her own.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

We had tried a couple of tutors for our son prior to contacting Ezymath but found them unreliable or just unsuitable.  Ezymath assessed our son's needs and then recommended a suitable Maths tutor with whom we were very pleased.  They offered flexibility and a very professional service.  The feedback on our son's progress was also very helpful.  I recommend the Ezymath service to anyone who wishes to see their child achieve academic success.

Thank you for the email- yes Steph is off to a great start and has developed a great rapport with William- he is approachable, dependable and enthusiastic-  - I am extremely happy with things.

It was a pleasure working with such a lovely organization. Not only do they listen but they try and solve the child learning difficulties. There tutors are great and also support the child. My daughters mark improved and so did her love for Math's. Would recommend Ezy Math Tutoring to all.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Dandenong Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Dandenong Primary School.
