The most important thing would be finding his students best learning methods and tutoring accordingly. This ensures that the particular needs are met and areas of deficiency addressed. My ability to be emphatic with the student and understand the unique challenges and difficulties he or she experiences.I also bring a unique ability to apply real…

English Tutor Kelso, NSW
I think the most important thing would be to be understanding and patient with the student. I also believe that it is important to be available for any questions the student may have. I am patient. I have a good command of the English language and therefore believe I would be able to explain concepts clearly and precisely. I have children of my…

Local Reviews

A tutor was found very quickly for my daughter. When a different tutor was required, there wasn't one immediately available (due to my daughter's work), but EzyMaths was in constant contact until they found a new tutor. Both were in contact very quickly to organise a suitable time, and made sure they knew what my daughter was working on and bought suitable materials.

Inside EglintonTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 8 student Ava worked through simplifying algebraic fractions and dividing both regular and algebraic fractions, while Year 10 Jack focused on solving problems involving simple and compound interest as well as rearranging algebraic expressions to find an unknown.

For Year 11, Felix tackled features of the plasma membrane and discussed how substances move across it via active and passive transport.

Recent Challenges

A Year 11 student struggled to remember formulas for financial maths, with a tutor noting, "she forgot the interest formula and missed key steps on loan questions." This led to repeated confusion when tackling compound interest problems under test conditions.

In Year 8 algebra, skipping working was an issue—one student avoided writing out rearrangement steps in simultaneous equations, so errors weren't spotted until the end.

For a Year 6 learner, messy layout in time-telling exercises caused mix-ups between hours and minutes; "digits crowded together made it hard to track where mistakes happened," as observed during revision drills.

Recent Achievements

One Eglinton tutor noticed a big change in a Year 11 student who previously hesitated to explain her reasoning during maths sessions; after encouragement, she now talks through her solutions out loud, even when unsure, which has made it easier for her to tackle complex trigonometry and algebra questions.

In science, a high schooler who struggled to distinguish between meiosis and mitosis was able to clearly outline the differences and their significance for genetic variation by the end of the session.

Meanwhile, a younger student showed real initiative by spotting errors independently during a time-telling activity and correcting them before moving on.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Sam has been a fantastic tutor for Annalise, she has improved and was very proud of her end of year results at school.

Yes we are very happy with Alexander , Ruby is a hard task master but seems very comfortable with him and happy for him to keep coming back each week.

Connor has improved so much this year, his confidence, organization & overall results have come from a C to a A. I'm not going to do any tutoring through the holidays or for next year as I'm prepared for Connor to put everything into practice and hope that he can maintain his results without the tutoring. I have been happy with Ezymathtutoring and if Connor was to start to struggle again I know where to come.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Bathurst Mobile Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Eglinton Public School.
