Modern History Tutor Rooty Hill, NSW
Identifying a student's weaknesses and strengths not only in a subject but in their general approach to life is very important. Honing strengths and working on weaknesses will allow tutors to tap into a student's potential. Deeply considering how and why a student is performing the way they are is also very important and allows changes to be made.…

To make a safe and healthy environment where the students can ask questions and wouldn't feel embarrassed to ask. I have a strong understanding of the subjects I'd tutor, I can explain concepts clearly and answer questions effectively. Communication Skills: Being able to break down complex ideas into easy-to-understand terms is essential. I am…

Modern History Tutor Glendenning, NSW
My belief is that the most important things a tutor can do for a student is remain resilient, provide constant affirmation and teach in a way that is compatible with their learning style. I believe self-esteem and encouragement are two of the most important aspects of learning within a student, and in order for them to perform to the best of their…

Throughout my life my parents, tutors and mentors pushed me to get the best marks I could. Despite my marks consistenly being above average, I did not retain the crammed knowledge after exam. It wasn't until I experimented with multiple study techniques that I discovering how to understand knowledge instead of simply repeating the textbooks. I can…

Inside Erskine ParkTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 10 student Zahra explored algebraic techniques and applied probability concepts to real-world scenarios.

For Year 9, Daniel worked through the Pythagoras Theorem using practice questions and revised key measurement skills for an upcoming exam.

Meanwhile, Year 12 student Sarah focused on advanced physics topics, including Einstein's postulates of relativity and time dilation, along with practice on length contraction problems.

Recent Challenges

A Year 11 student working on HSC-style questions struggled to link new theory to previous content, often skipping over detailed written solutions. As a tutor observed, "he needs a little bit of work in terms of learning how to formulate and write well written solutions to a problem."

In Year 8 algebra, forgetting older concepts meant repeated errors when collecting like terms, making revision less effective.

Meanwhile, a Year 6 student hesitated to show her working due to shyness—this made it tough for her (and the tutor) to find and fix mistakes during multi-step problems. When feedback was offered, she rarely responded directly in writing; the silence lingered between attempts.

Recent Achievements

A tutor in Erskine Park recently noticed a Year 12 student who had struggled with HSC exam questions now tackling them more independently and even choosing to attempt the harder ones first—something he avoided before.

In a Year 8 maths session, another student who previously needed constant reminders for basic concepts was able to recall key formulas and complete surface area problems with only minor calculator errors.

Meanwhile, a younger primary student showed real growth by sounding out vowels and identifying rhyming words without prompting, finishing her reading task out loud on her own for the first time.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Aiden is really happy with Faraz. He felt a bit awkward the first week but the interactions were much better the second week. Aiden finds it very useful because he needs guided revision (it's not necessarily about learning the content). Definitely a good investment!

The tutoring process through Ezy Math follows predetermined guidelines and criteria that enables a rewarding experience for both the tutor and student and provides adequate assistance for steady student learning.

Nohemi is great. A very professional tutor with an easy going personality. Brayden has found her lessons quite helpful and has no issues with her teaching methods. As school returns from holidays this week we will see how successful tutoring has been (to-date). If nothing else, I do believe Nohemi has increased his confidence in Algebra.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as St Clair Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Erskine Park High School.
