One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to keep them motivated. However, this can be challenging especially when they have many knowledge gaps and feel fallen behind at school. A good tutor is able to identify and fill in those gaps, helping students realise their full potentials and gain confidence. It is also important…
The most important things I can do for a student, is to put myself in their shoes when teaching. Often some students take longer to understand, comprehend or apply the knowledge taught. It' so important to go at their pace, whilst challenging them as well, because there's nothing we can't achieve if we set our minds to it. It' important to simply…
As mentioned above, to make a student feel comfortable is really important as it makes them more confident with the material not only in that subject but universally. They become more confident as a learner and will find it easier to develop the tools to solve problems themselves more independently of others. Additionally, as a tutor, I feel like…
Make the student feel safe is number one and to inspire a love for learning is the goal! Ensuring that the tutor presents them self in a way where the child is comfortable in your presence so they can learn and ask question is vital also. Knowing the child’s individual learning preferences and catering to this makes a huge difference also in the…
I consider that a tutor should be a good teacher but also a good person. He should be able to communicate and transmit his passion to give the desire to learn. (I am a native french so I can also teach french). Firstly I would say that my experience is my biggest strength, my computer science school allows me a lot of flexibility so I am available…
I believe that a tutor should be able to build relationships with a student where the students are provided with an environment where they are heard and observed. I think this allows tutors to strategize methods in helping students progress, learn and succeed. This must be done with patience, constant assessment of student's progress, and…
Recognising what the student requires and teaching it accordingly is one of the critical teaching factors. After teaching a specific section, it is essential to question the student on the respective topics to understand whether the student understood the basic concept of the section I believe every student has a different capacity. As a student,…
Help students understand concepts that they are struggling with as tutors can provide the one on one assistance required for this. I am a well-rounded student and a patient individual. I've been in the shoes of the struggling students before and therefore, I can relate with them and that will make giving them aid…
In my opinion, the most important responsibility of a tutor is not to teach specific knowledge or skills but to incite the confidence and curiosity for knowledge in students. Ultimately, a successful tutor is the one who can help students out of their bottlenecks, assists them in studying, and finally equips them with the skills and mindsets for…
I believe that making every session meaningful, productive but entertaining is key to learning. A tutor should make sure that the student is well-engaged in the session but still focussing on their weaknesses and strengths. A tutor should make a personalized learning experience for every student and build a relationship of trust with the student.…
A tutor can provide little tips and tricks to answering questions, especially in Math.
Always be within reach, in terms of communication platforms, so that the student can clarify any doubts at any point in time.
A tutor should also be flexible to the timings of the students yet not compromising on other students schedule. I am patient, clear…
what a tutor can do is more than teaching. Tutors should be friends and a good-listener for evey student. Every student is different. They may have different learning difficulty and hardness to go through. listen their trouble on studying and give suggestions based on different cases instead of forcing the knowledge into their brain from the…
It is important for a tutor to listen to a student and to learn what their strengths, struggles, and goals are. It is then important for a tutor to communicate in a clear and engaged manner, to ensure that material is described in an effective way. Tutors should also be open to all questions from students and should address these as much as…
The most important thing I believe a tutor can do for the students is to understand and listen to them and their needs. When a tutor listens and spends time building a relationship with his/her student, it allows the tutor to personalise the learning for the student by incorporating connections to the student's interests. In addition, it allows…
The most important things a tutor can do for a student is clearing all the doubts and most importantly understanding the difficulty and making it easy for them to understand. Also it is important for the tutor to make the subject fun for the student. My stranth is the ability to understand the students doubts and the ability to make the solution…
I think the most important thing a tutor can do is to get a proper understanding of the level of mathematical 'maturity' of a specific student, rather than just assuming a certain background knowledge. Once this is established, it's possible to get the core of what exactly a student is struggling with (usually a particular fundamental concept) and…
a. Individualized Approach: Tailor the tutoring sessions to suit the student's unique learning style, strengths, and weaknesses.
b. Building Confidence: Help students believe in their abilities and instill a growth mindset to overcome challenges.
c. Patience and Empathy: Be patient with the student's progress, understanding that everyone…
I support students to use theory to be creative in their approach to problems so that they develop the ability to approach new problems with confidence. I'm patient and I encourage students to think in new ways. I am a clear speaker and an attentive listener. My enthusiasm toward tutoring is projected onto the students and I always strive for…
re-affirm that everything that is taught is reflected appropriately. their success is our success. build up the subject foundations in order to allow them to work out problems with a strong basis can dynamically work at any pace to ensure that students can follow along without feeling like they are lagging…
I consider the most important things a tutor can do for a student are to provide encouragement and support, and to teach skills for problem solving, learning, and managing workloads. Subject-specific knowledge and skills are of course extremely important, but developing the confidence to try (and learn from mistakes) and the transferable skills…
Become students’ friends so you can lead the children to the book, most students don’t want study because the teacher is too strict and always pushing them, if the tutor can become their friends, they can lead the student to study voluntary. I’m patient enough to take care of a children’s work and I can spend more time with him or her to…
A successful teacher never lets a student feel like they cannot achieve their goals.
The goal can be anything from solving a problem to passing the course or even their career goals.
The most important quality a student needs for anything is self-confidence and teachers can help a lot by motivating students. I am very empathetic and don't mind…
To listen to them and give them a chance to show their full potential. Also, to be energetic and full of enthusiasm as a child who is probably discouraged by the school a tutor who can give them the motivation they need will result in the student to succeed. My biggest strength as a tutor would be listening to what concepts the students don't…
Morgan has responded very well already with Hazel. She said her explanations of problems has made her maths much more easier.
We are very happy with Hazel.
Despite a few minor glitches for our first few sessions with James arriving late (all sorted now I think), we've been VERY happy with the way he's working with Emily. She lacks confidence in maths, and I think James's gentle and patient approach is really helping.
Rishi is great guy and working well with our son James. We realise it is early days but James is already more confident with his approach towards maths.
Thanks for checking in with us. It is appreciated.
