We have all had the experience of a "bad teacher" and we know it's not pleasant. Often the teacher is simply a bad match for that particular student rather than being a "bad teacher" in general but in either case the student has a serious problem.
Maths can sometimes be frustrating for students, with a lot of students often becoming convinced that maths 'isn't their thing'. A tutor should always be supportive and encouraging whatever the situation, and help bring the most out of their students' maths learning. One of my strengths as a tutor is my communication. Explaining simply the crux of…
A tutor can provide much greater flexibility than a teacher in a class room setting. They can identify the specific strengths and weaknesses of a student and cater to them to make the most beneficial learning experience they can. I like to break down mathematical concepts and remove as much of the distracting mathematical language as I can, so…
Having the patience and understanding that different students require different approaches to fully engage and understand the content which they are being taught. I have the track record of excellence, through graduating with a 99.25 ATAR, numerous academic awards and currently completing a double degree in Engineering and Law.
However, my…

To encourage them to persevere even when they find their studies difficult. My opinion is that equipping them with the knowledge they need is only a small part of the job. I also believe it is important to encourage them and support them to allow them to succeed despite the pressures of school and the environment they may find themselves in. My…

One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to inspire them through support. Always being optimistic with a student's progress can help them gain confidence in the subject they are studying and they may find comfort in the knowledge that their tuition teacher is there to help them. This may change a student's view on their…
I believe that the most important thing a tutor can do for their student is to ensure there is constant improvement in each area, through providing resources, and constantly reviewing their strengths and weaknesses to check whether the student has illustrated a thorough understanding of the subject. In addition to this, it is vital for the tutor…
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is be understanding , not only of the students pace , but the students welfare , mindfulness , capabilities and perhaps even their limits My strength as a tutor is my relatable nature with those I teach , as just coming out of highschool I am well versed in the most challenging topics, how to go…
A tutor can guide a student, by outlining what their goals should be at the end of the learning the subject and how to get there. They can set them worksheets to complete and notes to further understand the subject. Most of all, I think as a tutor, the most important think is to give constructive feedback, and to let students know their areas of…

The most important thing is to inspire students and academic results would naturally come. A sound understanding of the specific area of study that the students are trying to learning together with the tutor's personality to let them be inspired. The ultimate result is that they can explore their individuality and talent to a maximum in order to…
Listen to how they want to learn
Build a connection with the student
Understand the system the students school uses for assessments
Focus on improving the weaker areas while not neglecting strengths as well
Plan ahead for the student As I was tutored through the majority of my school, I feel that I possess a wide range of tutoring styles…
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to find the right method of teaching for each individual student that will enable them to learn at their maximal capacity. There are all sorts of different types of students in the field, it's very unlikely that one strategy will allow them all to understand a concept. Therefore…
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to create specific lessons to help students individually. Many students learn differently and at different paces, hence I believe that it's important for tutors to be flexible and change their teaching styles to adapt to their student's needs. I also believe that it is crucial for…
It's important is to not show the student everything and complete their work for them. Tutoring is about enabling the student to complete work and content by explaining concepts to them so they understand what the question is asking them and explain to the child what the question is asking and then assisting them where they need to succeed. I…
Being creative to suit individuals' needs. Everyone is unique; our brains and ways of learning are unique. I am good at helping students understand underlying concepts and helping them develop confidence and enjoyment in doing…
For a student, the worst thing a tutor can do is to strike fear into them about their progress or their work. I consider a tutor's job to support the student in every way: academically, physically, and psychologically. The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to provide them with realistic hopes: to stand from our perspectives and…
It is important that a tutor is able to give their students more confidence in their abilities and to improve their overall understanding of the subject. I have the ability to get along with students of all ages as well as a genuine interest in trying to help people improve and a love of teaching. I have also completed my VCE in 2017, achieving an…
The key aspects a tutor should prioritize include creating a supportive environment, adapting to individual needs, building confidence, and offering constructive feedback. Encouraging questions and fostering a genuine interest in the subject further contribute to a student\'s long-term success. As a math tutor, my strengths include a deep…
I have used other tutors and tutor services in the past however the difference with ezymath was that I received regular reports on how my son was progressing and also tips and tools to enhance his learning. The tutoring is very structured and also disciplined which kept my son on track. Yesterday we received his year 9 Naplan results and he achieved a Band 10, and his results last semester at school were excellent and his confidence and ability has improved immensely , many thanks to ezymath and his fantastic tutor.
Ezy Math tutoring gave me an invaluable opportunity and experience. With fortnightly advice, support and materials I was able to give my all to my students. The reward being an invaluable satisfaction when the mother heard from my students' teacher that her work was really improving. I really enjoyed the experience and always left the students feeling like I had made a change. For prospective tutors I would say Ezy Maths is a great place to work, they provide plenty of materials, support and the staff are very co-operative and understanding about your needs
Matt was excellent, he helped Josh immensely. I only wish we had started earlier. I now know who to come to for my other two children. Thank you.
