Help them understand and not let them feel helpless. A lot of kids feel helpless when learning and it's extremely important for tutors to let them know that they aren't and teach them other ways to learn that are more helpful for them. My strengths are most definitely adapting to any situation and my patience. I understand that people may struggle…

I think my opinion about teaching is for different kids should have different method. For example, when you teach an introverted but smart kid you can’t just tell him what to do, you have to give him more courage and gain his trust, because the kid is wise enough and you just need to lead the right not to tell him how to do.
Second. It is being…

The most important thing a tutor can do for their student is recognise their efforts and reassure them; encouraging them rather than scolding mistakes. I can recognise when students are unsure of topics or are too shy to ask for help. In recognising this, I revisit the topic till I'm sure they're certain how to approach the problem from all…
A tutor must be a friend and a tutor at the same time.So that, the students can ask their doubts without any inhibition. At the same time, a tutor should understand the weak points of a student and help them in tackling that. The most important things a tutor can do for a student having the ability to take pressure off the students. Having only graduated from school last year, going to tutoring for the subjects I had trouble in, took some of the pressures of Year 12 off of my shoulders as I had the reassurance that I could go to my tutors with concepts I had trouble…
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to build a rapport of the student so that each lesson will be created based on the needs and requirements of the student and on what they need to focus on, i.e their weak points. I think my strength as a tutor is that I am able to build a good rapport for all of my students and be…
Helping each student be the best learner that they can be; independent learning is something that all successful students must be able to do. I aim to make studying and…
For me, the two things that aided me most when I was being tutored in highschool were practice questions given to me by tutors and when these tutors took their time to really deconstruct these concepts until I fully understood them. Laura has definitely gotten Diana to a great start. She eagerly anticipates her tutoring and is seeming to take more interest in Maths especially in the strands that she did not feel very confident about.
Diana has told me that Laura's explanations are easily understood and is simplified which makes it easy to remember. She also explains various strategies that can be used for problem solving which is good for time management when attempting to solve problems in class. Diana is able to use the notes taken during tutoring in class which is assisting with her understanding of the relevant strand or concept.
Things are going really well. Emily is a lovely young woman who has engaged well with my daughter. Tia feels comfortable with her and is learning new skills. It is great.
Thanks once again for such wonderful service and professionalism. It is such a change to receive follow up and genuine interest in the service provided . Your company is to be commended!!
We asked for assistance on a short term basis to help with some exam preparation. Our tutor was quickly able to assess our daughter's capability and provide practical assistance with problem solving and techniques.
Most importantly the tutor instilled real confidence in our daughter's ability, offering encouragement, support and reinforcement all the way. We would not hesitate to contact Ezy Math for our future needs.
