The most important things I can do for a student are to foster a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages their curiosity, growth, and confidence. By adapting my teaching methods to their individual learning styles, patiently addressing their questions and concerns, and providing clear explanations, I can help them truly…
Aim to gain understanding so that what the student is learning now, will stay with them throughout their life, no matter where they might find themselves and in whichever work position they find themselves in the future. I relate well to all levels, and I can explain at all levels, given my experience in work industries, as well as in…
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is the ability for the student to develop a independent style of learning and facing adversities with a strategy in mind. This allows the student to not only develop academically but also fosters a lifestyle of learning that will help them transition into high education. I am clear,…
Always encourage them to give it a go, induce them to solve problems in a scientific way, celebrate every little progress with them and help build their academic confidence in the meanwhile. I have relatively high marks in university Maths units and good at solving Maths problems. I have experience working with students of different age. I am…
I believe the most important things a tutor can do for their students is to support them in their way of learning while also offering alternative study methods that may help them to better understand a concept. By doing this, a tutor can assist the student the best they can while also challenging the student to try something new and different and…
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to teach them in its most effective and efficient way possible. Because we tutors are responsible in making a hard lesson an easy one for the students. I really love math as a subject and I think that's my strength as a math…
The most important things a tutor can do for a student is helping them improve their understanding on a subject and developing in them a genuine love and curiosity for learning through the use of different methods be it through drawing or reward systems. The most important things would include being a good role model for the children by…
-Making small yet impactful improvements in a student's learning style and cultivating a positive attitude towards learning. -Patient
-Dedication
-Fun and…
Being patient and understanding. At the beginning of my tutoring journey, I provided several private one on one tutoring sessions. I started to expect a lot from the students as some students performed better than ours. But it is later I started understanding every student is different and we should always work at their pace. Never push them and…
A tutor is responsible for motivating a student in order to achieve excellent grades.
A tutor does not only train a student academically but also guides them to the right path in life by sharing their own experiences. I would consider demonstrating openness and listening to the needs of a child to be a positive trait for a tutor. I am definitely…
A good tutor can change the student's mindset and make them better people. Having a good tutor makes the subject automatically interesting and students tend to invest more time and put more effort into it. I am a very patient and dedicated person. Also, I like to make sure that every person/student I teach, understands everything thoroughly. I try…
The first thing would be to establish a plan of goals and expectations and help the student identify their role in this plan. Once a tutor has an idea of the expectation of the parents/school/ students then only can progress take shape, and this might have many forms and variations as to how this is executed as the student grows or stalls. So,…
1. Being patient with a student until they have confidently understood and topic and can answer questions about it.
2. Changing your method of explanation depending on how the student learns ideas.
3. Being able to always be contacted, so the tutor can answer emergency questions, or reschedule an appointment. 1. Good communication skills…
Identify and fill in gaps in the students knowledge and skills; equip them with the confidence and skills they need to approach new problems on their own. I am a careful observer of students as they work; I have a belief that every student can succeed; I have a gentle manner and am very patient; I am able to approach concepts in many different…
To me, the two most important things a tutor can do for a student are:
1. Providing a student with a strong base understanding of a topic so that they can succeed in learning while at school (e.g. contributing well to class discussions).
2. Helping a student refine and better understand what they were taught in class. I think I have a strong…
I believe being understanding of their needs and patience are the most important qualities. A student will only make the most out of the tutoring session if the feel completely comfortable and listened to, as a tutor I believe engaging them in this way is crucial. I think I am friendly and engaging which I believe is essential in fostering a…
Ensure that the student is gaining confidence and is improving. I believe its not the final result that counts, but its ensuring the student's mental health is taken care or whilst the student is experiencing a steady improvement. I believe I am a person with strong moral values that can grasp concepts relatively quickly. I also memorise content…
Often it is the response from students that they'll never have to remember or use the content they learn again in their life, but that misses the fact that the act of learning these subjects, establishes a new kind of problem solving brain-wiring in your mind. It's not always important what you learn (depending on your career choice) but rather…
A tutor needs to be reminded that it's their student they have to make better, not themselves, hence most of the time we should end up giving tasks to students and let them solve them themselves. Only to interrupt them when they are stuck or can't get over a problem, we should remember that we are more of assistants rather than problem solvers…
There are some important things a tutor can do for a student. The first one is clear communication. Secondly, being patient to students is also very important. Last but not least, providing a relatively easier way to solve the problem is important too. There are some strengths of me as a tutor. I am patient. I leave some time for students to…
I think the most important thing is patience as not all students are fast learner. Sometimes repetition is needed in tutoring and we need to stay calm and cool while explaining it repeatedly. Also, communication skills are essential. A good tutor knows how to deliver the subject so that it is easy to be understood by the student. 1. Patience
2.…
Putting down your ego, communicate and being there for them is definitely the top priority. They will obviously get discouraged at times when they don't get the answers. But I believe with patience, they are destined to get what they want. I think my passion and hunger to understand a problem stands out from other people the most. In every…
Laura has definitely gotten Diana to a great start. She eagerly anticipates her tutoring and is seeming to take more interest in Maths especially in the strands that she did not feel very confident about.
Diana has told me that Laura's explanations are easily understood and is simplified which makes it easy to remember. She also explains various strategies that can be used for problem solving which is good for time management when attempting to solve problems in class. Diana is able to use the notes taken during tutoring in class which is assisting with her understanding of the relevant strand or concept.
Things are going really well. Emily is a lovely young woman who has engaged well with my daughter. Tia feels comfortable with her and is learning new skills. It is great.
Thanks once again for such wonderful service and professionalism. It is such a change to receive follow up and genuine interest in the service provided . Your company is to be commended!!
We asked for assistance on a short term basis to help with some exam preparation. Our tutor was quickly able to assess our daughter's capability and provide practical assistance with problem solving and techniques.
Most importantly the tutor instilled real confidence in our daughter's ability, offering encouragement, support and reinforcement all the way. We would not hesitate to contact Ezy Math for our future needs.
