The most important thing I can do as tutor for the children is that they aren’t loser just because they are bad on studies . I don’t want them to think that study and classes are their enemies . I would help them on their learning experience as a friend who would listen to their problem and have their back till end. My strength would be my…

A good tutor should make learning easier, not more stressful. The most important things they can do are: 1. Break things down simply – No overcomplicated explanations, just clear, straightforward teaching. 2. Adapt to the student – Everyone learns differently, so figuring out what works best for each person is key. 3. Boost…

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is offer support, not just academically. Offering the student emotional support and boosting confidence is just as important as assisting in academic and school work as it makes them eager to learn and enjoy the process. I am a very patient person and am highly understanding. I do not like to…

Moreover, I consider availability of tutors to be extremely important for students, where they can access the tutors help at reasonable hours during the school week, which may extend past their scheduled…

To make sure the student is comfortable in the environment they enter as well as feeling comfortable around their teacher and class mates, by letting this happen it is up to the teacher (me) to show a positive attitude to the learning environment. I also believe it is important to make sure the student is receiving all the help they may request to…

I believe a tutor must be able to motivate and enlighten the student, so the student will want to study for themselves, and not because of an external reason. My strengths include: Being able to both motivate others and enrich others in extending their knowledge. Shedding my own experience of the HSC and how it has affected me and so, enlighten…

I think the most important thing for a tutor is being supportive and patient, on top of being flexible to meet the needs of the students. Tutors should encourage students to keep attempting a question and not be afraid of failure. Tutors should also try to find extra resources to help with a student's learning. As a tutor, I value being…

I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is help students build the confidence and skills to learn independently. Teaching effectively so that the student can understand the content. It is important to make the students do their own work, rather than doing it for them as they do not learn effectively if the tutor does the work for them. Inside Mount LewisTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 9 student Lily focused on mastering simultaneous equations and exploring trigonometry, including how to apply key formulae.

For Year 10, Ayaan worked through financial maths concepts such as calculating simple and compound interest, alongside tackling rates and ratios using real-world scenarios.

Meanwhile, Year 11 student Emily concentrated on analysing literary techniques in English texts and interpreting film techniques for upcoming assessment tasks.

Recent Challenges

A Year 8 student often arrived without having completed homework, which led to gaps when tackling new algebra and indices problems—"she forgot the basics of squares and roots," a tutor noted.

In Year 11, missing scheduled study plan check-ins left one student feeling unprepared for upcoming exams, despite understanding material in lessons.

Another Year 9 learner found it difficult to recall surface area and volume units because prior revision was limited to easier questions, avoiding more complex multi-step worded tasks. This pattern meant that when unexpected question types appeared, confidence quickly dropped and time was lost deciding how to begin.

Recent Achievements

One Mount Lewis tutor noticed a Year 10 student who used to freeze when faced with simultaneous equations now actively asks to revisit the topic and is working through problems with far less hesitation.

Another high schooler recently received an A and a B on her assessment, after weeks of practicing new techniques and taking more responsibility for double-checking her homework—she only missed one question this time.

In a Year 4 session, a student who was initially unsure about mean and median started remembering definitions independently and could answer review questions correctly after some extra practice.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

I would like to say that Justin is a wonderful young man. I know it's only early stages but Arin had a smile on his face that filled my heart. Arin has a lot of respect for Justin, which tells me there is a good connection or understanding developing. Thank you for finding us Justin. In Arin's words ' I have learnt more with Justin in three lessons than with the other tutor we had over the past year'Âť. I think we can say Arin has gotten off to a great start. My only hope is that Justin is also comfortable with us.

Zaliha found the tutoring extremely helpful and Jacob is a wonderful teacher, very intelligent and patient. Zaliha googled your service online and we cannot find fault with the professional service and assistance that Ezy Math Tutoring provides. We would not hesitate to reengage with Ezy Math Tutoring in the future and will highly recommend your service to others. Thanks again for all of your support and a special thank you to Jacob.

Brendan is very happy with Gennady, he is doing a great job at the moment, thank you for sending him, wish he had started earlier with him.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Canterbury Bankstown Library Service—or at your child's school (with permission), like Mount Lewis Infants School.
