English Tutor The Oaks, NSW
Encourage the student that mistakes are okay and they are made even by experts; create a positive atmosphere whilst tutoring; remain patient and explain a concept clearly when the student does not understand; and being compassionate to their needs and learning ability. My strengths would be the ability to be patient, highly organised, assertive…

English Tutor Ellis Lane, NSW
A tutor should be able to make subjects understandable and enjoyable for their students so they get to learn it easier and faster. They should be able to impart knowledge in many different ways in order to have the capacity to teach people who learn in different ways. I'm really patient with people, especially children. I really enjoy being able…

Local Reviews

Damian is a knowledgable and professional tutor. He has been incredibly helpful and supportive of my daughter who has successfully completed her Maths HSC exams. Not only has he helped her with the syllabus, his understanding and advice of the HSC exam process, managing her stress and study requirements was very valuable to my daughter in managing anxiety for this important year of study.

Inside OrangevilleTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 4 student Olivia worked through long addition, subtraction, and division, as well as adding decimals and rounding numbers.

Year 8 student Max focused on solving equations with variables on both sides and practiced applying these skills to worded problems.

Meanwhile, Year 11 student Ethan explored trigonometric identities and equations, including initial work on manipulating trig expressions using algebraic techniques.

Recent Challenges

In Year 5 maths, one student arrived without having reviewed geometry before a test—this led to confusion on perimeter and area of irregular shapes, especially when "she only had one week before."

In Year 8 algebra, the layout of solutions became messy during factorisation with x's on both sides, making it hard to track errors or spot sign changes.

A Year 11 student working through calculus rarely made summary sheets for differentiation topics; as noted, "needs to make summary sheets," which left key methods scattered across notebooks and harder to revise before exams.

Recent Achievements

One Orangeville tutor noticed a big change in a Year 9 student who, after weeks of hesitating to ask questions, now regularly puts her hand up when she's unsure about algebra steps—something she avoided at first.

A recent high school session saw another student independently using a summary sheet for linear equations and successfully changing the subject without prompting, where previously he needed step-by-step guidance.

In Year 5 maths, a student who struggled with decimals last term was able to explain her working aloud and even asked for trickier problems after solving all ten decimal questions correctly.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Sounds like Alex is doing a great job.  I've spoken to Quyen and she is very happy with the tutoring sessions.

Thank you for your email. Sabrina was very happy with Sheetal. She feels much more confident now and has a better understanding of the concepts. She feels that she can now better cope and is confident enough to do it on her own. Many thanks for all your help.

We had tried a couple of tutors for our son prior to contacting Ezymath but found them unreliable or just unsuitable.  Ezymath assessed our son's needs and then recommended a suitable Maths tutor with whom we were very pleased.  They offered flexibility and a very professional service.  The feedback on our son's progress was also very helpful.  I recommend the Ezymath service to anyone who wishes to see their child achieve academic success.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Camden Council Library Service—or at your child's school (with permission), like The Oaks Public School.
