Geography Tutor Clarence Gardens, SA
Very important to show you believe in their ability but letting them also know that sometimes perserverance is required. As a tutor, you are part of their team to help them succeed. Everyone is able to learn and it is important to ensure the tutor is teaching at a level appropriate to the student's level of understanding. Patience and being able…

Geography Tutor Plympton, SA
Patience is needed to be a successful tutor. Also, passion should be there. A tutor can always go for application based approach and giving examples of where the teaching syllabus can be applied to in real world. I can tutor in easy way and make student visualize in a way to solve the questions adeptly. I can repeat the ways until it is…

Geography Tutor Lynton, SA
A tutor's most important responsibility is to assist students in developing their skills by engaging them, encouraging them and instilling their students with confidence. Support, clear and consistent instruction, and adaptability to different ways of learning are crucial to ensure students feel secure and are able to reach their potential. Belief…

Geography Tutor Cumberland Park, SA
Just be student focussed. Make them think for themselves. It took me a long time in my personal education journey to learn this, but once I learnt it, I make sure my students don't make the mistake of learning passively. They need to get involved, think for themselves, and this way they'll not only retain what they learn, but grow more broadly…

Geography Tutor Kurralta Park, SA
I believe understanding and problem solving to be the most important things because when a tutor can make the student understand the problem and solve it the problem is together with them. It gave a lot advantages for them during their study and even in their daily life Ability to connect with children easily on a personal level which helps me to…

Inside SeacliffTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 4 student Emily practised adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator and compared common fractions on number lines.

Year 7 student Liam worked through relationships between fractions, decimals, and percentages, and completed NAPLAN Numeracy practice questions using a calculator.

Meanwhile, Year 8 student Aiden focused on rearranging equations to use the quadratic formula and applied simple interest calculations in real-world scenarios.

Recent Challenges

In Year 9 algebra, one student relied on calculators and Symbolab for guidance rather than attempting questions independently, which limited true understanding of fraction operations.

A Year 11 learner struggled with confidence during test revision—stress made it hard to apply feedback or persist through difficult equations, often giving up early.

In Year 5, the habit of practicing only familiar times tables meant progress in long division lagged behind.

Meanwhile, a younger student lost motivation when work felt too easy or repetitive and sometimes avoided showing written working in subtraction problems. These moments left gaps that resurfaced during multi-step problem solving later on.

Recent Achievements

A Seacliff tutor recently noticed that Fred, a Year 7 student who previously needed reminders to stay focused, completed his revision homework with minimal distraction and even scored 80% on a challenging set of questions—up from earlier attempts.

Meanwhile, Brooke in Year 9 started choosing to work out complex multiplication problems herself rather than defaulting to her calculator, showing new independence during algebra sessions.

Prajna, also in high school, shifted from rushing through comprehension tasks to now pausing and rereading texts for accuracy; this careful approach helped her answer more reading questions correctly last week.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Mihika is doing very well with both Lachlan and Courtney, they are building up a rapport together and their exam results have been improved. It certainly has boosted their confidence and we they like their tutor.

I just wanted to thank you Ezymath for helping my son to understand the curriculum of year 10 math.  My son found his teacher would repeat the same thing over and by having an ezymath tutor he was able to hear it explained in a different way and as often as needed for him to understand it.  He came 2nd in his class and passed with confidence.  I also found our tutor to be reliable, responsible and patient and I will be calling again when my daughter needs help with her math, which will probably be earlier than year 10.  Thank you again for supplying a tutor so quickly.

Working for EzyMath tutoring gave me a sense of strong responsibility and a feeling of accomplishment. I felt as though I had not only taken up a teaching role, but a mentoring role as well. The staff are there to help if you need it as well as a strong community of colleagues to access for support. I would recommend EzyMath tutoring to any clients and fellow tutors.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Brighton Public Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Seacliff Primary School.
