The most important thing is to be a physics tutor if she can develop these abilities in his student. 1. why they are studying a particular subject? 2. How they can understand the laws of nature by doing science. 3. How they can develop the ability to ask questions? 4. How they can find the right answers to their questions. 5. Science is not…

Confidence is one of the most important things a physics tutor can inspire in a student because that can allow a student to achieve more than one can without confidence. My strengths lie in guiding a student towards the answer and avoiding giving solutions right away. I am also good at giving encouragement that will give a student more…

A tutor is there to first and foremost, help a student to achieve his goals. Anyone can get through school with a certificate, but students with ambition sometimes need the extra push to get to where they want to be. Even if one's goals are not magnificent, a physics tutor can also be the one to guide the student in ways that a parent or school…

As a physics tutor, I think the most important thing is to be patient and responsible with students. For example, providing a timely response or help is essential during learning. It is also important to understand what type of learners your students are and what kind of learning strategies work best for them. Additionally, a good, trusting…

I think the core role of a physics tutor is to help students reach their full potential. A tutor should tailor their approach for each student to achieve this. This should include helping students to become independent by developing their study skills and self-confidence. I have worked with a range of people and understand that everyone learns…

A few of the most important things that a physics tutor can do for a student are: - provide accurate information of the subject being taught, - encouraging students, - behave appropriately, - listen to their problems. My previous and current students have told me that I can explain materials in a way they could understand. I was also told that…

The most important thing is attention and encouragement. As a physics tutor I believe that we need to know when we should offer our help when they are stuck but afraid to say something, but should also withhold answering every question that they ask. When we believe that the student can solve it on their own we should just encourage them to think…

The most important thing a physics tutor can do for a student is to promote confidence in a student. After a tutoring session, the goal should not be for a student to be able to complete their homework. Instead, the student should gain an understanding of the topic such that they can complete future coursework without the help of a tutor. If that…

The best thing a physics tutor can do for a student is affirm their self-worth as a learner and as an individual. The most important thing a teacher can teach a student is something about how they learn best, like what techniques, environements, etc. they need to learn effectively. Set a path to direct the student. We can't force a knowledge into someone's head. We have to guide them towards achieving a goal, understand how they study and propose the best way for them to achieve what they desire. It's not just about teaching a concept, it's also about teaching them how to learn a concept. The lessons taught must endure and…

The most important thing for a tutor is that they explicitly explain concepts to a student. This should be done in a way that makes the most intuitive sense to the student. Tutoring is not just about writing formulas on paper and solving equations. Tutoring is about connecting with the student, listening to them and understanding them. Only then a tutor can see what topics the students are struggling with and be able to help them. A tutor can go on and on and on for hours with a lot of knowledge base and high level…

Local Reviews

The whole process of finding a tutor has been so simple, all I had to do was make the initial enquiry. We had our tutor within 24hours! Freddy is so lovely and while it is early days we can see the confidence growing in our son. We highly recommend this service...in fact I already have :)

Inside StanmoreTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 9 Avi worked on trigonometry, focusing on sine, cosine, and tangent rules with targeted practice questions, as well as reviewing surds for clarity.

Year 10 Luke reviewed past exam papers to address topics he found challenging and discussed areas of confusion across the syllabus in detail.

In Year 11, Avi practiced monic and non-monic quadratic factorisation and revisited line equations by working through sample test problems.

Recent Challenges

For a Year 8 student, missing school and tutorial homework led to gaps in understanding algebra and number patterns—"she wasn't understanding the content from school and there was missing school homework I noticed."

In Chemistry (Year 11), failing to memorise polyatomic ions meant techniques shown previously were not recognised in later exam questions, making revision less effective.

A Year 9 student's over-complicated diagram annotations in Science resulted in missed marks for terminology and logical structure.

Meanwhile, a Year 5 learner struggled with two-digit multiplication because times tables weren't automatic; this slowed progress on new skills.

Recent Achievements

A Stanmore tutor noticed one high school student who had previously hesitated to ask questions now actively seeking clarification during economics essay planning, leading him to correctly use diagrams in new scenarios without prompting.

Another student, after initially struggling with structuring written responses, has begun writing PEEL paragraphs independently and completed several on his own with improved clarity.

Meanwhile, a Year 6 learner who once guessed at answers now takes time to double-check her calculations for area and volume before responding—she even asked for more challenging shapes last session.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Tammy is great.  She has a friendly manner and she is enthusiastic at every session. Lucy seems to like her and she has some great methods for teaching.  She engages Lucy and makes the sessions fun and interesting bringing things along to help Lucy understand what she is trying to teach her.  She is concentrating on what Lucy's weaknesses are while thinking ahead for Lucy for year 7. From  my observations of the sessions I think she will help Lucy enormously. I am very happy with Tammy to date and hope that she is happy to continue on with Lucy

Ezy Maths Tutoring really helped my daughter progress both her knowledge and enjoyments of Maths. Her progress has been amazing and she has looked forward to her weekly session with her tutor. The tutor connected really well with my daughter and was able to build her confidence. I am sure that she will now find the transition to high school much easier with her improved skills in maths.

Thank you so much for your email. We are so very happy with how things  are progressing. I can already see Keeleys confidence improving and I can hear her understanding coming along as I listen to the session. Dennis is a fantastic tutor! He is very understanding and patient. He is a lovely man, very friendly and has amazing manners and people skills. I will be recommending your company to anyone I know in the same situation. Thanks again.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Stanmore Branch Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Stanmore Public School.
