What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I have always been interested in teaching others and I have always had great respect for my teachers. They have a great influence on the person I am today. I get a sense of fulfillment when I feel like I have made a positive impact on the student I have tutored, no matter how small it may be. Knowing that my actions have made someone's life easier or better makes me feel contented. Getting to know my students is something I enjoy too. They come from different walks of life and it is interesting to gain different perspectives.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My most important strengths would be patience, creativity, and communication. Patience is important because I must be ready to explain concepts to a tutee multiple times until they understand. I am also creative in the way I tutor because different tutees understand things differently and I need to figure out what would be best for them, and make learning fun and engaging. I communicate clearly with tutees so that they can understand and not be confused, and if they are, I try to make them feel comfortable enough to tell me. I put myself in their shoes and find out how I can help them improve.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe that the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to bring little, positive changes into their lives. Grades are important and students go to tutors to improve their grades, but tutors are capable of much more than that. Progress can be measured in so many ways - a student gradually putting in more effort to complete their work, an otherwise inconsistent student consistently showing up for tuition, a student putting in hard work into understanding concepts, and many more. I believe that tutors are capable of improving the lives of their students, not just their academics.
