What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The thing I enjoy most about tutoring assisting students to reach new heights in their academic performance and the satisfaction of witnessing the success first hand myself.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am a high academic achiever, with an ATAR of 95.6, specialising in mathematics, with Maths Advanced band 6 and Maths Extension 1 E4, though I am also comfortable tutoring Physics and Chemistry, with decent HSC marks of 87 and 89 respectively, which makes me knowledgable enough to be a competent tutor. My strength as a tutor includes my expertise in the subjects that I am comfortable tutoring, as my academic results would suggest. Outside of academic abilities, I have strong ability to communicate with students as I have experiences informally (voluntarily) tutor someone with academic needs before, which often yields good results, as well as a flexible and adaptable mindset in terms of approach to change accordingly to the situation of different clients.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing as a tutor is to incentivise and assist clients to reach their ideal academic performance, while also respecting their boundaries and not pushing them too hard. I can also incentivise them to be more passionate and confidence in the subject I tutor them for, as well as empathise with and provide emotional support for clients, and help them approach questions from different perspectives to solve them.
