What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love knowing that my teaching makes a difference in a student's learning. When I first heard one of my students tell me that she understood the subject properly and actually enjoyed it for the first time, it was incredibly validating and brought me joy, knowing that they enjoyed learning because of my teaching.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe I cater well to each student's style of learning, as I often ask them if they're keeping up with my explanation, as ask them to explain what they understood in their own words. I do this so that I can verify their understanding, and also so that I can better understand their learning style.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important thing is to explain in a way that the student understands. For example, with some of my students I would use a lot of analogies to help them get an initial grasp of a concept, whereas with others I will explain the underlying principles of a topic in great detail, as thats what helps that specific student understand a topic better.
Since each person learns things in different ways, I believe communicating with the student to get an understanding of the ideal way to structure an explanation is incredibly important, which requires articulate and honest communication
