What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The one thing I enjoy most about tutoring is learning from the children I work with. Moreover, I enjoy being able to take up a collaborative effort when it comes to applying pre-existing knowledge towards understanding new concepts. I believe that each child has their method of learning and being able to collaborate with them to help them find the way that suits their learning style best, is also something that I find very fulfilling.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Due to my past experiences in working with children, I believe that I have developed the patience necessary when explaining potentially tough material. Apart from this, I understand the need to make complex and not-so-complex subject material interesting to learn - be it through music, stories or art. Furthermore, I have real-world experience when it comes to, for example, using English to communicate specific needs and wants and I am therefore able to explain the reasoning behind specific words used in place of others.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to be willing to explain a concept as many times as needed until the student understands it. While a tutor's job may be to explain material in a way that is immediately understood by the student, there may be times when repetition can help with consolidation. Doing so will encourage a student to ask more questions while also boosting their confidence and love for learning.
