What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I find it incredibly rewarding to see students achieve their goals and make meaningful progress in their learning. One of the most fulfilling aspects of tutoring is being able to support a student’s growth in confidence—watching them overcome challenges and develop a stronger understanding of the subject matter. Knowing I’ve played a part in that progress is what I enjoy most about tutoring.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths as a tutor lie in my ability to assess writing objectively and identify opportunities for improvement based on what the student has already produced. Throughout my time at university, I’ve developed a discerning eye for academic writing, which has been invaluable in navigating the expectations of higher education. In addition, my experience in educational settings has strengthened my communication skills and given me the confidence to engage meaningfully with students, helping them clarify their ideas and better understand the challenges they’re facing.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

As a tutor, I believe the core priority is to support the student’s learning in the most effective and personalised way possible. Building a student’s confidence is just as important as helping them achieve higher marks, as the two often go hand in hand. Having experienced the benefits of tutoring myself in high school, I understand firsthand how crucial it is to foster a sense of self-belief in a student’s academic journey. Confidence often becomes the foundation for sustained improvement and long-term success.
