What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy helping others understand topics that seem difficult but once you break them down into smaller steps or think about it in another way, it all starts to make sense. Also, seeing the improvement and growth in students that can occur from your help. I remember while in highschool many of my peers would come to me for help and understanding of topics in math and science and I would try to do my best to explain it from the ground up with my thinking process. When they understood what I was explaining it made me feel happy that I can assist and motivate people through doing what I enjoy.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I only just graduated from highschool after completing the ATAR pathway and have a fresh perspective and vision of topics. I can provide a more relateable and unique learning experience because I am still young and can more closely understand students' perspectives and challenges. Even though I have no tutoring experience I believe that I have the potential to do well once I get the hang of things.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe the most important thing is firstly identifying where the student is with their understanding of a topic and then working in small steps from their based on the students' needs and style of learning. Then ensuring the student is challenged constantly in order for the 'learning' to occur and celebrating small wins to provide an enjoyable experience so that they are more motivated to keep going and boost confidence.
