What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
Watching the instant when a student goesfrom being anxious to confident. I remember as a tutoringstudent myself from a young age, what it felt like to walk into sessions feeling completely overwhelmed by difficult subject material. To be able to now provide that sort of help is incredibly satisfying. I enjoy the challenge of getting a difficult topic and explain it in small steps until a students feels like they can solve it. So the most rewarding thing is watchinga student become convinced of their own potential and develop a love for learning that allowed me to be successful
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I'm currently a student at USYD and graduated high-school in 2025 with an ATAR of 95.25, showing that I have a high level understanding of the syllabus and it's requirements. I have a fresh understanding of specific marking criteria's and key aspects markers look for in students responses. I have been a student in tutoring since I was 8, therefore am aware of various teaching styles that can work for students. I can teach Maths ext 1, Maths adv, Biology, chemistry.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student would be to bring confidence into them. I've learnt though school that it's not the level of intelligence of a student that matters, but their attitude towards the goals. Altering the βI canβt do thisβ attitude by breaking down the hard topics would enable me to prepare them for the HSC in such a way that they are able to cope with stress. When a student with an aim of scoring a 90+ ATAR stops viewing it as impossible and begins looking at it as possible thats when real learning begins.
