What do I enjoy most about tutoring? š
I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others so that they have the opportunity to achieve their academic goals. I enjoy volunteering and tutoring other students to help them understand concepts, not just simply memorise them. I enjoy watching students learn, grow and succeed and knowing I had an important role in their development. Tutoring for me is also something that Iād do because it reflects my personality as I am passionate, enthusiastic and highly motivated to achieve highly regarded results. I look forward to working with others and turning their weaknesses into strengths.
My Strengths as Tutor šŖ
I am proactive in my work and duties, meaning that I will be a quality tutor who approaches their work with care and diligence. I have excelled in my subjects I have undertaken at the University of Melbourne (Bachelor of Science) for example, Genetics and the Evolution of Life (First Class Honours in Semester 2 2016), Chemistry 2 (First Class Honours), Psychology - Mind, Brain and Behaviour 2 (First Class Honours). I have successful techniques for exam preparation and test-taking that I am willing and able to share and I can engage students in fun ways to participate (active learners).
Most important things I can do for a student š
One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is the willingness of a tutor to support these students in their studies by giving them ongoing assistance and feedback, but also being able to help them with any personal issues/troubles they are having. This translates to being a friendly and approachable tutor, much like a friend that a student can depend on and look forward to seeing.
