What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love working with students to help them achieve their goals. I remember I tutored a boy who had autism. One of his goals was to learn his times tables. I adapted my teaching methods to suit his style, focusing on more visual learning techniques (i.e. flashcards, games). This combined with our shared enthusiasm led to him being able to meet his goal. I was humbled to see his sense of accomplishment. Its moments like these that I enjoy most about tutoring.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have great communication skills. This is critical as communication is the basis of learning. Being an effective communicator, I can help students understand difficult concepts, and thus allow them to achieve their goals. I am also a very patient person. The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to motivate the student. Motivation is key as there are often times, especially while learning something very difficult, that students become demoralised and feel like giving up. It is at this time that a tutor needs to motivate their student, and work with them step by step to help them understand the concept fully.
