What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I believe knowledge is one of the most vital things in life, because of that, I believe sharing knowledge is one of the most worthwhile things in life. Tutoring is, fundamentally, sharing knowledge.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

- Having achieved an ATAR of 99.90, I believe I have the academic skills to tutor well - I am aware of the student as an individual: I do not teach every student in the same way - Being an experienced debater, I am able to communicate well and express ideas in an eloquent and understandable way - I aim to gain the respect of the student through respecting them. I believe mutual respect is what empowers students to try to achieve the goals you have set for them

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The biggest thing a tutor can do, is have empathy for the student. To teach by understanding where a student comes from - do they like the subject? Why are they struggling? Are they just not confident enough? After gaining a deeper understanding of the student themselves, it is important to teach in a way that suits them. A common mistake is teaching the same idea via the same way and "praying for the best." Being there for student. Being available through email throughout the week to answer questions. Acknowledging when the student requires a break. Setting expectations.
