What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

As a student who had many teachers who weren’t able to give help, I find being a tutor gives me the ability to help students who need the help or even students who want to get ahead. This role allows you to give both the student knowledge before going into school lessons making their work easier to understand once they’re doing it or even to help fill in information which they have missed or not understood. As a tutor I find helping students most with knowledge in areas that are foundation is an essential role as missed knowledge can exacerbate students struggles when working

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I’m very approachable this allows the student to freely ask questions openly about anything around school, this gives them the freedom to learn and get help on things they might’ve not asked for help with in class. Also as someone who didn’t have the best teachers growing up I reflect the same approach of the few good teachers I had. Not only this approach but I’m very adaptable, punctual and understanding. On top of all of this I’m knowledgeable in the content and the VCE system

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Give them the ability to speak, we see teachers constantly blocking questions or not spending enough time on individual students as they have to help a whole classroom each week, so in the role of a tutor we need to make sure the student is able to freely communicate and have them do the question and ask them their though process throughout a question and understanding to why we do the processes we do in either math or science. Or if it’s just a written answer question, figured out how much a student understands a certain aspect or a topic
