What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
It is really great to see kids gain confidence in what they perceive is their weakness. It is also really nice to see them truly excel in their strengths. The greatest reward then comes when the student has the confidence to take control of their learning and you can see them thinking about what youβve worked on and applying it routinely.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I am reliable and well organised. Throughout my final year of high school, I worked with focus and precision, refining my ability to manage my time across multiple tasks and responsibilities. I also developed a commitment to working at a high standard which I hope to carry into all future tasks and jobs. My experiences as both a coach and a tutor have allowed me to communicate and work well with kids, another skill crucial to tutoring.
Most important things I can do for a student π
Tutors should work to instil the confidence in their students so that they know they can achieve their goals, giving them motivation to study and be in charge of their learning. Tutoring is a great way for students to gain this confidence by creating the time for them to work alongside someone else one-on-one and with the same goal for them. Good tutors should work to encourage students to be able to identify their mistakes and encourage precision and independence. In the same way, pointing out their improvements along the way really helps the student can see gain confidence, especially it has been the result of the student's hard work.
