What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
I enjoy the little "light bulb" or "eureka" moment that my students will achieve one day - be it when it comes to understanding a concept that they didn't quite comprehend before to finally nailing those practice questions! I also feel heartened when my students gain confidence in themselves and their abilities, as that is half the battle won when it comes to attaining academic excellence.My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
Some strengths I have as a tutor is that I, too, am a student. Thus I am able to empathise with the student regarding any negative feelings they have towards studying. I will aim to do my utmost best to understand the root cause of their struggles and address those, on top of the usual academic teaching.Most important things I can do for a student ๐
To be patient, understanding, and to celebrate the smallest of wins! Often times, we need to acknowledge that the student is working hard but just needs some time to absorb the concepts. Every improvement, however big or small, is a big sign that the student is taking steps in the right direction.
