Local Reviews

We found Ezymathtutoring very easy to deal with. Our tutor Anthony was excellent and our 15/16 year old son was very comfortable in his presence. We would definitely use this company again for future tutoring requirements.

Inside VeresdaleTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 8 student Alex focused on constructing and interpreting histograms for data display, and identified specific maths concepts she found challenging last semester to target in future lessons.

Year 10 student revised trigonometry, particularly applying formulas to solve right-angled triangle problems ahead of an upcoming exam.

Meanwhile, Year 11 student worked through classifying scatterplots and deepened understanding of standard deviation—using both manual calculation and calculator functions—and also discussed a real-life assignment involving fuel consumption and travel efficiency.

Recent Challenges

A Year 12 student attempted a practice test but could not finish under timed conditions, often pausing to seek guidance on next steps. "He knew the content well but was unsure in his own abilities," noted one tutor, which led to hesitance and lost time.

In Year 9, a student's written equations were described as "messy," with unclear layout making it harder to spot sign errors when isolating variables.

Meanwhile, a Year 4 student had not completed assigned homework and still relied on calculators for simple times tables—this slowed progress in later fraction exercises and caused uncertainty during class discussions.

Recent Achievements

One Veresdale tutor recently saw a Year 10 student, Diali, spot and fix errors in her own practice exam—she'd previously relied on the tutor to catch mistakes, so this new independence was a real step forward.

In a Year 12 session, a student who used to skip over gradient questions is now able to identify where to substitute x and y coordinates and explain his reasoning out loud during work on gradient-intercept form.

Meanwhile, a Year 4 student finished all their assigned fraction homework without reminders for the first time, showing growing self-motivation.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

WE are very happy with Adam. He is an excellent tutor and he is engaging them both very well

Natalya is progressing really well with her math tutoring. Daniel is an excellent tutor and Natalya feels very comfortable around him. Her enthusiasm for maths has soared which for Don and I is a big step forward in such a short time. Her teacher has already commented on her progress and we have no doubt that her grades will continue to improve over time.

Andrew is very happy with Stephen's tutorials. They have already formed a very healthy teacher student relationship, and Andrew is enjoying his Maths.  He got everything correct in a test he did at school last week.  The only thing that was incorrect was the fact that his decimal point was not in the correct place.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Scenic Rim Libraries—or at your child's school (with permission), like Woodhill State School.
