Chemistry Tutor Blakiston, SA
I think that an important thing for a chemistry tutor to do is to be available, even if it be through technology or in person. As a student, I understand that sometimes it may just be a singular question that gets you down, or in other cases an entire unit. Hence, being able to support all circumstances is imperative. Another important factor…

Local Reviews

I would highly recommend EzyMath Tutoring to any parent or carer looking for a reliable and user friendly tutoring service. Their service is friendly and efficient and the Tutors have been great. Our current tutor Michelle is excellent. Her straightforward and direct approach has enabled my son to progress and improve very quickly and I have been very pleased with the outcome.

Inside WistowTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 4 student Sydney focused on building confidence with multiplication and division using both textbook questions and client-provided worksheets, then moved into exploring fraction equivalence and representing fractions on a number line.

Year 5 student Sophie tackled multi-step worded problems and complex vertical addition and subtraction, as well as strategies for multiplying large numbers and times tables fluency through games and homework review.

For Jay in Year 6, recent sessions included practice converting mixed numbers to improper fractions, simplifying fractions, and working with fraction-to-decimal conversions alongside challenging problem-solving questions set by school.

Recent Challenges

A Year 5 student was often reluctant to finish her homework because she was tired, needing extra prompting to complete tasks.

In a recent Year 7 lesson, skipping careful reading led to confusion in multi-step questions; as noted, she needs to work on reading the whole question and not giving up straight away.

In Year 8 maths, untidy graph work caused plotting errors—misaligned tops and bottoms disrupted accuracy.

For a senior student tackling enlargement in geometry, overconfidence masked gaps: despite claiming understanding, she couldn't demonstrate the process when asked. This sometimes left her feeling frustrated and unwilling to try further questions.

Recent Achievements

A tutor in Wistow noticed Sophie, a high school student, has started using positive self-talk during maths sessions—she now says "I can do this" instead of giving up, which is a big shift from her earlier frustration.

In another session, Jay (Year 7) demonstrated new independence by spotting mistakes and correcting his own division errors without waiting for hints, having previously relied heavily on the tutor to point out errors.

Meanwhile, Annabelle in Year 4 tackled multi-step problem-solving questions with far less hesitation than before and explained her reasoning clearly when asked.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

thanks for your note.  Things appear to be going well with Andrew.  He is a very polite and professional young man and he seems to get on well with Matthew.

I would like to thank you and your team for all the help with preparing Marissa for her Math exam. Gabriella was a wonderful help,  I do nightly recommend her. Thank you for the time spent with her

Tutoring has gotten off to a great start thankyou. Adrian is always on time and his professional & friendly manner has encouraged Erin to have a positive response to being tutored ( she was not keen initially) Erin is enjoying her session with Adrian and I can see her willingness to work with him will increase her confidence in maths in general.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Mount Barker Community Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Mount Barker Waldorf School.
