Software Dev Tutor Burpengary East, QLD
Lead them in the right way of thinking and solving complicated problems. The most important thing would be to train the students to be able to think and research subjects with their own capability. Understanding the student's lack of knowledge and missing points, and explain subjects accordingly so that everything is clear. Trying to understand…

Local Reviews

Paola is fantastic. Even after a few lessons my little boy has started to grasp maths issues that were once challenging for him. I can't wait to see his progress after a few months. Paola has engaged with Lucas and has become a trusted advisor. Thanks again Paola!

Inside Burpengary EastTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 6 student Darell focused on prime and composite numbers as well as square and triangular numbers, practising with example questions from a recent exam.

For Year 9, Rebecca worked through algebraic fractions and solving linear equations using her textbook to target skills she'd found challenging in class.

Meanwhile, Year 11 student Joshua tackled trigonometry problems involving the cosine rule and also practiced transposing equations, preparing for upcoming assessments.

Recent Challenges

A Year 8 student struggled with organizing revision, often forgetting to bring schoolwork home—this left gaps in practice for core topics like fractions and multiplication.

"He needs to separate subject notes," one tutor noted, after seeing muddled math pages.

In Year 11 Maths, a student skipped writing steps for percentage difference problems; this habit made it harder to catch errors or check solutions later.

Meanwhile, a Year 9 student hesitated to apply feedback independently, only fixing mistakes when prompted. The result: concepts stayed fragile, and time in sessions was spent revisiting old ground rather than building new skills.

Recent Achievements

A tutor in Burpengary East recently noticed some encouraging shifts. In Year 10, Joshua has started actively asking questions about problem-solving steps instead of staying silent when confused—a real change from earlier sessions where he'd hesitate to speak up.

Meanwhile, Rebecca (Year 9) now openly admits when she doesn't understand a question and can pinpoint exactly what's unclear, which is helping her tackle new topics more independently.

For a younger student, Charlie (Year 3) has begun talking through his subtraction strategies out loud during homework, rather than guessing quietly as he did before.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

I just wanted to let you know that Arielle's recent yearly Maths marks were the best she has ever had. Usually he marks are in the high 30's ( the test is out of 60) but this time she scored 50 out of 60! Arielle was thrilled and I know this has really boosted her confidence regarding her Maths abilities as she always felt Maths was too hard. I have noticed a definite change in her attitude to Maths tutoring with Ivan. She no longer dreads the session and is able to remain focused and attentive the whole time. This has given her the confidence to begin her new school next year with a positive attitude towards Maths.

Once again I really appreciate your help over the last few months. The structured format that EzyMaths brings to tutoring appears to provide a clear framework and guidelines for the tutors to work within. Combined with a really outstanding young tutor in Calvin this has had been very beneficial for Dom. I congratulate you on a great model and wish the business success for the future.

Shay is really enjoying the tutoring and Ben is a great tutor.  She is already improving in her maths, which was the objective.  Shay even does her extra math homework without argument which is amazing .  We look forward to working with Ben for the rest of this term and next year.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Burpengary Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like St Eugene College.
