Chemistry Tutor Banora Point, NSW
Not just tutor them, but be a friend. By opening up and developing a closer bond to students, the students feel more comfortable and it doesn't become a chemistry tutoring session, but just a study session. I went through the course(s) myself quite recently, so I understand what's expected on the students, and what they need to do to excel and not…

Chemistry Tutor Tweed Heads, NSW
Other than helping a student genuinely understand the content in their course, I think that the most important thing a chemistry tutor can do for them is to help them in developing and implementing strategies to allow them to become independently successful. This may mean developing a better organisational process, implementing a system for…

Chemistry Tutor Currumbin Waters, QLD
The most important things that a tutor can do for a student is understand how a student learns things whether it is through wrote learning and memorisation, visual or physical learning and from that be able to teach the student content through a learning type that is best for a student. - Confident - Presentable - Patient & chill - which is a…

My daughter has found Jaylan to be patient and able to explain anything she is unsure about clearly. She says she feels more confident in her understanding of certain areas after her sessions with Jaylan.

Inside CobakiTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 7 student Willow focused on adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions as well as simplifying them through step-by-step written problems.

For Year 9, Jeremy reviewed Pythagoras' theorem and tackled measurement and geometry questions using practice exams to prepare for his semester assessment.

Meanwhile, Year 8 Mia explored algebra basics such as expanding brackets and solving equations with worksheets tailored to her new general maths class.

Recent Challenges

In Year 12 exam preparation, one student focused on revising the basics across all curriculum areas but "wasn't prepared for the in-depth exam questions," leaving them uncertain during harder tasks.

A Year 9 algebra session revealed a habit of skipping feedback: despite encouragement to "show others her work," written solutions stayed private, so persistent errors went uncorrected.

In Year 7 English, another student's PowerPoint draft was left with formatting and spelling issues; editing was overlooked before submission.

Meanwhile, a primary student struggled to complete area calculations simply because paper was forgotten—so no working could be shown or checked that lesson.

Recent Achievements

One Cobaki tutoring session saw a high school student, Jeremy, move from hesitating with trigonometry to confidently tackling exam questions—he now attempts problems independently and only asks for help after giving it a real try.

Another tutor noted Willow's shift: where she once needed reminders about fraction methods, she now converts and compares fractions on her own, showing much more initiative during lessons.

In Year 6 English, Bella used to skip re-reading her writing but is now actively checking her sentences for grammar mistakes before finishing tasks; last week, she proofread her paragraph herself and made corrections without prompting.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Aiden is really happy with Faraz. He felt a bit awkward the first week but the interactions were much better the second week. Aiden finds it very useful because he needs guided revision (it's not necessarily about learning the content). Definitely a good investment!

The tutoring process through Ezy Math follows predetermined guidelines and criteria that enables a rewarding experience for both the tutor and student and provides adequate assistance for steady student learning.

Nohemi is great. A very professional tutor with an easy going personality. Brayden has found her lessons quite helpful and has no issues with her teaching methods. As school returns from holidays this week we will see how successful tutoring has been (to-date). If nothing else, I do believe Nohemi has increased his confidence in Algebra.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Elanora Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Bilambil Public School.
