Inside HammondvilleTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 7 student Frazer focused on fractions, decimals, and percentages, practicing conversions between them and solving real-world problems.

In Year 10, Emily worked through bearings questions in mathematics and developed her introductory paragraph for a "Life is Beautiful" essay in English.

Meanwhile, Year 12 student Mia reviewed critical path analysis concepts as part of HSC exam preparation and went over her trial exam responses to identify key areas for improvement.

Recent Challenges

Several high school students struggled with homework completion and organization.

In Year 11 English, engagement with the subject was low, and little time was spent on assignments, which meant gaps in analysis weren't addressed between sessions.

For Year 10 Maths, as noted: "Byron did not complete his homework for the previous weeks. This isn't the first time." Missed work led to repeated confusion when new topics built on old ones.

Meanwhile, a Year 9 student arrived unprepared for class content and homework—extra lesson time went into catching up instead of tackling extension tasks or feedback.

Recent Achievements

A Hammondville tutor noticed Byron stayed focused through the whole maths section this week, a shift from earlier lessons where he'd often lose concentration and need reminders to stay on task.

In Year 10, Mason finished his entire assignment before the session ended—last term, he'd rarely complete more than half in one sitting without prompting.

Another high school student spent less time stalling and got straight into revision questions, something she usually avoids at home.

One primary student quickly recognised different types of angles after previously mixing them up during class activities.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Moorebank Branch Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Hammondville Public School.
