I just wanted to say thank you for your amazing service with our Daughter, Ava's, Math lessons. Walter, her tutor, was amazing & has made a great difference in bringing Ava's knowledge & grades up to where she needed to be.

Inside Point GreyTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 4 student Sophie practised adding and subtracting money amounts, as well as identifying the correct notes and coins needed to pay for items.

Year 8 student Mason focused on surface area calculations for both square-based triangular prisms and rectangular prisms, including reviewing key exam concepts.

Meanwhile, Year 10 student Ella worked through algebraic techniques such as solving simultaneous equations and revisited Venn diagrams in probability using practice questions.

Recent Challenges

A Year 9 student often left out full working in algebra, which made it tough to catch sign errors; as one tutor observed, "he skipped showing steps in equations, which hid small mistakes."

In Year 6 maths, a student hesitated to attempt complex worded problems independently and needed reminders to write answers fully in words.

Meanwhile, a Year 11 learner lost marks on tests after rushing analysis of multi-step questions instead of planning their time—this led to missed formula selection and incomplete responses.

During homework checks, missing written steps slowed progress in fraction operations for a Year 7 student.

Recent Achievements

One Point Grey tutor noticed a big shift with a Year 9 student who previously avoided showing her working; now, she consistently writes out each step and checks over her answers before finishing.

In Year 11, Zack had always found parallel and perpendicular lines confusing but, after breaking down the process together, he could explain how to identify them without prompts.

Meanwhile, a Year 3 student who once guessed quietly during maths is now openly asking for help when stuck and confidently explains which part doesn't make sense—something she never did before.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Thank you for the follow up.  Belinda is fantastic.  Ben really likes her.  I know it has only been 3 weeks but Ben is already feeling more confident with his maths.  His exams start next week so Belinda is revising with him.  I'm very happy, thank you.

I went to your website, and wasn't able to see easily where to add a reference so I thought I'd type something out below and you can add it into the website on my behalf. I'd like to thank Ezy Math Tutoring and especially Mihika (tutor) for assisting with Cameron's Year-12 VCE Mathematics Methods subject this year. We won't know what Cameron's results will be for a little while but despite this I can safely say the experience and tutoring has been wonderful and warmly received by both Cameron and his parents alike.  During the course of this year and at all times the approach from both Ezy-Maths and Mihika was simply first class.

Just to let you know that we have been pleased to see Romy's confidence grow in direct response to Ezy Math tutoring. We fully intend to continue with your company in 2013 ...

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Falcon Library & Community Centre—or at your child's school (with permission), like St Damien's Catholic Primary School.
