Chemistry Tutor Darling Heights, QLD
A tutor can help a student develop the necessary skills,by which he can learn and understand by himself. Also, he can help identify the students weaknesses and provide alternatives by which the student can easily learn. I have patience and understanding. I also have excellent writing skills. Moreover, I like challenges and I love it when I can…

Chemistry Tutor Kearneys Spring, QLD
Not only is knowing the content extremely important, but the way tutors teach the content is more important. Every student has their own needs, and a chemistry tutor must recognise that some teaching strategies might work for some but not work for others. My strengths is my teaching style. I believe my ability to connect with the student allows…

Chemistry Tutor Darling Heights, QLD
In my opinion, the most important thing about tutoring is creating rapport with the student. Because when the student likes you, he/she begins to trust you. And when you gain their trust, they would listen to what you are saying then they would learn what you are tutoring. As a tutor, my strength is I have a really deep foundation of Mathematics…

Chemistry Tutor Rangeville, QLD
Building a deep connection with the student. Solving a problem together and clearly explaining why they went wrong and how it can be improved. This way the student can answer any problem with ease. I build a deep connection with the student and create custom analogies to make them clearly understadn the concept. I use active recall in my teaching…

Local Reviews

Easy to talk to team, found us what we needed, it was a tutor who gels well with our daughter. We looked with many companies but couldn't find anyone then these guys got us started with someone within a few days. And, they're good too! Pricing decent, good value.

Inside PrestonTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 8 student Aryan practised solving word problems involving rates and ratios, and began foundational algebra skills with a focus on opening brackets and integer operations.

A Year 10 student revised statistics by tackling mean, median, and mode as well as probability basics using real-life scenarios.

For senior secondary, Sam worked through balancing redox reactions in Chemistry and applied quadratic function techniques like completing the square for upcoming assessment tasks.

Recent Challenges

Several students across Years 3–12 are missing homework or leaving tasks incomplete. For example, one Year 10 student "had not done any of the homework assigned either," while a Year 7 student's notes recorded, "Did not do any homework assigned."

In senior Maths Methods, another struggled to organize their notes beyond the current topic and was advised to work on structuring schoolwork.

Distraction and short attention spans appeared in both primary and high school—one Year 8 student was described as "very distracted and very easily loses focus," which meant extra time was spent redirecting rather than deepening understanding during lessons.

Recent Achievements

One Preston tutor noticed a big shift with a Year 10 student who used to avoid asking questions, but this week started speaking up and clarifying doubts during algebra—something he hesitated to do before.

A Year 12 student recently worked through tricky induction examples in Methods; where she'd previously gotten stuck, she now lays out her responses systematically and checks her steps without prompting.

Meanwhile, a younger student has become noticeably more organised, completing all homework ahead of time after weeks of struggling to keep track. This session finished with him handing over a set of neatly written notes for review.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Since Ben has had Jacques tutoring, he has achieved an A++ (15/15) for his maths assignment!!!

Zach and Chaitanya are doing really well. Zach is really happy, not only with the way he's learning, but also because Chaitanya takes an interest in him as well.

Dakshi is a wonderful tutor and I feel that she and Aela are getting on very well.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library or at your child's school (with permission), like Middle Ridge State School.
