Tutors in Tuart Hill include high-achieving graduates, experienced teachers, subject specialists, and passionate mentors from top Australian universities. Many have received academic awards or hold advanced degrees, and all share a genuine commitment to helping students succeed.
I think patience is the biggest key factor as without that there can be no way a tutor could help a student. Learning new things can be tricky and scary which is why a tutor must be able to understand a student's learning pace, be able to communicate thoroughly and also make the learning experience a fun one I am a very patient person which I…
A tutor should know the student's learning style well and be able to cater to their needs. A tutor should also provide a strong foundation to the subjects so that students can build upon this foundation and practice and get better in the future. A tutor should also build good, consistent study habits in the student, and build up the student's…
Be supportive and show the student that they are determined to help them, regardless of any learning disadvantages or difficulties the student may have. I would say that this helps boost a student's self esteem - when they believe in themselves more, they are more likely to achieve their learning goals. I have good time management and…
Give them the motivation and incentive to learn independently and proactively. Firstly, my academic background in both Art and Finance equip me a solid understanding of writing expression and Maths applications.
Secondly, my work experience as a management trainee in private banking and as a credit analyst in JPMorgan has trained me to be…
A tutor does not just teach a student a particular subject. I believe that the most important function of a tutor is to foster overall academic confidence in a student and to develop better study techniques/learning habits more generally. A good tutor can give a student motivation and techniques to achieve not only in the tutored subject, but in…
One of the most important thing to do is to understand what the student needs. Through careful evaluation a tutor should identify the student's weakness and put more focus on that area. Another important thing is to always address their questions. Sometimes my students asked me questions which I did not know the answer to, so I looked up on the…
I think it is guiding them in a way that is most effective for them to learn. Also to be a trusted mentor both academically and outside the class room. I'm patient, enduring and…
Building the confidence of a student and providing guidance and motivation and continuous support My patience and empathy and my ability to explain things simply and…
Have patience and understand what the student needs to get out of the tutoring whilst growing their knowledge in a comfortable and enjoyable environment. Patience and the ability to adapt to students needs depending on their skill level and…
Help them understand the concepts they have trouble with. Answering questions correctly is important but it is only the result of understanding the concepts of what is being tested. Therefore the goal should be to make students aware of and master the underlying skills and concepts in their particular subject. I am happy to take my time to explain…
I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is leaving them with a range of tools for study that they can use on their own at school or if I’m not around.
The student being able to use study techniques that I have taught them on their own accord is what I would aim to achieve. My strengths as a tutor would have to be my…
Ultimately, the most important things a tutor can do for a student are provided academic guidance, human connection, and consistency, and the combination of these factors can potentially reinvent a class, subject, or school more broadly for a young learner. Creativity and enthusiasm for teaching. Ability to explain complex things. Ability to…
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is being able to develop a strategy for each student they have. Not all students learn the same way, and being able to come up with techniques to help different students plays a key role in the academic development of a student. Some of my key strengths include, being able to support the…
Helping students get clearer on their personal goals and development, aid their identification of their personal strengths and weaknesses, allow them to become able to assess their own work with a critical eye, gain a deeper appreciation for learning in school Patience, determination, compassion, hard work, ability to communicate and form bonds…
1. To identify where the child needs help - be it in the process of solving a question, or in fact in the way they think of what the question is asking.
2. To be able to communicate point 1 above, such that the child is able to understand.
3. Holistically take into account that each child is different, sometimes it is not a matter of merely…
I feel that getting to know and appreciating each individual student for who they are as a person in so important. It makes the student feel appreciated and allows a relaxed, productive, friendly and positive workspace to form. This can be done by having conversations about their days, having a laugh with them and fully engaging with what each…
Give them the resources to be their best student. Rather than just giving them the answer outright, set up a pathway for them to solve their problem themselves. I'm a very patient person, I think I've learned from past 'bad' tutors that patience is key to the student enjoying the session. I also consider myself to be creative with solutions if the…
To keep it short and simple, the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to allow them to reach their full potential and to give them all the confidence and skills required to do this. As a tutor some of my strengths include having good communication skills, being able to speak up and having a warm & friendly personality. In school my…
Help them be on track, clear all the doubts, help them learn while having fun. I can clear the concepts easily and i already have expreince in teaching. I can assure if i will be teaching your kid, you won't be regretting…

I consider the ability to connect and inspire the students to be the most important thing. To me, it is important to bring up their interest and motivate them to strive and reach their fullest potential rather than just teaching them from the material. I am able to connect with my students to understand their goals and I genuinely care for them to…
It is important to motivate them and help them understand the importance of scoring well. This allows them to choose their education and career path earlier on. It is also important to be their friend and listen to what they have to say, to acknowledge and validate their thoughts and opinions. This makes them a better critical thinker. I am…
In primary, tutoring often targets core arithmetic—addition, subtraction, times tables, fractions, and building number sense—while also pushing for deeper comprehension, not just rote rules. High school sessions shift to algebraic thinking, graphing, interpreting questions, and developing strong exam strategies. There’s a big emphasis on breaking down word problems, revisiting tricky homework, and test prep for NAPLAN or semester exams, always tailored to what each student finds hardest right now.
Recent Challenges
Some primary students rush through comprehension or maths tasks without fully reading instructions, leading to incomplete or off-target answers. In high school, it’s common for students to have scattered or unclear working, which makes multi-step problems harder to check and fix. Other frequent hurdles include forgetting materials, leaving homework unfinished, or spending revision time catching up on missed basics instead of moving forward—all of which can hold back progress and lead to confusion.
Recent Achievements
Tutors are noticing students becoming more proactive during lessons—regularly checking their own work, spotting errors, and making corrections without being asked. There’s a clear shift toward students verbalising their steps in maths and explaining their reasoning aloud, rather than rushing through problems. Tutors also report that learners are reviewing their test results with more care and taking the initiative to improve, showing greater confidence and ownership of their progress.
What they say about our tutoring
Very happy with John. Would like Jackson to have more lessons with him but can't get Jackson to agree to it as yet! Working on him. May ask John to help out with science and possibly English as well in the future if he has time.
Ezy maths tutoring was just what we were after for Zena. We tried a couple of other tutoring companies before ezy maths tutoring but one we had to travel to to get there and the other offered us a young and inexperienced tutor, tutoring is more than knowing about the subject it is being able to teach it. Ezy maths tutoring offered us with everything we were looking for, reasonable pricing, at home tutoring and of course an excellent tutor. We found 'Tara' to be patient and understanding and Zena went from a D to getting B's and C's. We were very happy, thanks to Tara and ezy maths tutoring.
I decided to look for work as a tutor as I had time to spare and "fresh" knowledge that I thought I could share with students who wanted to do better. After being hired by two companies simultaneously, one being Ezy Math Tutoring, I would only have time to work for one of them. The decision to chose this company was easy as Ezy Math Tutoring provided greater support for its tutors. This included better pay, feedback, education on how to become a great tutor and a friendly group of people who were there to contact if I had any queries or if I needed help.
The best thing about being a tutor was that I was able to dramatically improve the clients and their child's outlook on their education within a few weeks just by being there and providing a familiar face that knew how to help.
I would definitely recommend Ezy Math Tutoring to any aspiring tutors and I thank them for the privilege of working as a tutor for the business.
