What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I believe that Knowledge is the greatest achievement in life, since no one can steal it from you, unless you are willing to share it.
What I enjoy most about tutoring is that I get to share my knowledge and the information I have collected with those who will find it useful.
I am also said to be a great leader/ mentor, so having that friendly mentor relationship with a student and guiding them in the right direction, no matter if it's in terms of academics of life in general, would be a great satisfaction for me.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As a tutor, my biggest strength is experience. Being a university student, I have had great number of falls and have learnt a great amount from those. They have thought me to be organised, the importance of time, how to communicate and so much more that I am yet to learn.
I would love to share this experience with everyone, to help guide them through the tough times and avoid them from experiencing the same falls that I had.
Another great strength is my relationship building skills. I am able to communicate with others in a manner that makes them feel comfortable around me.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Guiding.
The most important thing a tutor can do is to guide a student. Forcing them to follow a set of rules is only going to work until they learn that they have the power to oppose you. Tutors can't control students, instead, they should simply guide them.
Talking to them about scenarios from your experiences and what consequences you've faced would help them make a picture of what is write and wrong. Even if they don't accept your guidance, there is still time for students to learn from their mistakes.
