As I said before I don't get irritated easily though student ask the same question for 10 times and second thing method due to individual have different way of learning. My nature is perfection so I am trying to impart same thing to the students and maths is all about perfection. you loose the marks for very small mistake in maths. I think method…
The most important thing a tutor can do for the student is to encourage him/her to pursue a career in their liking and to empathise with their difficulties and teach them how to overcome them. It is also of utmost importance that a tutor must lower themselves to their understanding to teach a student. Passion to teach and a drive to progress as an…
A tutor should offer an individualised teaching method that works to that student's strengths and takes into account any weaknesses. Whether that mean explaining new concepts in more engaging ways or focusing on certain aspects that a student is finding particularly difficult to grasp. A tutor should also help students feel more confident in their…
Making sure that the student fully grasp the concepts of particular topic areas by using individualized teaching approaches and tackling the ideas from different angles
Guiding them through various steps to help them learn to problem solve by themselves rather than telling them the answer
Help motivate the student and make the lessons…
A few key responsibilities of a tutor, according to me, are as follows:
Boosting a student's confidence and academic performance.
Providing a safe space to ask questions without inhibition.
Helping develop adaptability and time-management skills.
Encouraging independent and critical thinking.
Improving a student's overall attitude towards…
To attentively listen to the student (their stories, worries, and struggles), to identify areas that the student need more work on, trying different learning approaches, to be able to break down large problems into smaller easily managed tasks, and to share our life and study skills with them where relevant. As a tutor, I believe I am very…
Firstly, improve the students grasp and understanding of the content, providing them with not just the ability to answer questions, but to understand logically why something is such.
Secondly, help develop an appreciation for the area of study by delivering the tutoring in a positive and engaging matter so that the student enjoys learning it.…
The most important thing for a tutor is to never underestimate a student, and to be there for them as a support and to show them that they can. If a student loses self esteem and think that they can't do it...they wont. It's all about giving them a healthy mindset which allows them to gain the knowledge given. My biggest strength i believe is how…
I believe it is motivating and teaching the student how to get the most out of their time studying in and outside of their tutoring session. Not only will this mean they learn more but Increasing ones ability to learn means the student will enjoy studying more (as if feels like they're making progress). I think there are 3 factors which would…
Most importantly, putting time and efforts after students till their basics are clear is the key for a tutor to use. After clearing the basics, revising and revisiting the already done work is equally important. Having had experience in tutoring, patience is my strength. I think self motivation and hard work are the key to success while mentoring…
I believe that the overarching role of a tutor is to have a lasting, positive impact on a student, and this is possible through various means. Firstly, they can support the student academically, by guiding them through difficult or foreign concepts step-by-step. Through this, a tutor can immensely improve a student's self-confidence and engagement…

- Be patient with them
- Flexibility - allow more room for the student to ask questions and respond to the material
- Collaborative - connect with the child and cater to their needs rather than telling them what to do
- Communicative - be clear with them and of your expectations with them In terms of what makes me a good candidate for this…
Introduce a subject to the students in an interesting way and guide them to find the interesting points during study. This will result in a positive feedback for students and their studies. More interested, better performance. I have passion on mathematics and I am definitely good at it. I have
patience for the others. I am a good listener. I…
A tutor's superpowers lie in providing personalized guidance, igniting curiosity, and unleashing a student's true potential. By creating a supportive and engaging learning environment, tutors empower students to ask questions fearlessly, explore knowledge passionately, and conquer challenges with confidence. Together, we embark on an epic…
Be honest. This helps to establish rapport and trust, the two most critical elements to a successful tutoring relationship.
Be flexible. This means being willing to adjust techniques and approaches to meet the learning styles of the student.
Be patient. What is obvious or easy for you may not be so for your student. Learn not to show annoyance…
In my opinion, the first thing a tutor can do to help a student is to first listen to them and take their concerns very seriously. It may be a very simple doubt, but the moment they accept that we are ready to listen to their concerns, we automatically grab their attention and build up a rapport with them. Another critical aspect of tutoring is to…
A tutor should be empathetic and helpful.
A tutor can provide personalized guidance, clarify doubts, and offer additional explanations beyond the classroom. Their strengths should include expertise in the subject, effective communication, adaptability to students' learning styles, patience, and the ability to motivate and build confidence in…
The most important thing, according to me, is that the tutor is able to sympathise with the student. More often, in a class full of people, a student can feel like they're the only one who's falling behind. A tutor can help the student get out of that sort of thinking, and personally, at a one-on-one level, be involved in helping the student out…
The most important things a tutor can do for a student is not only address academic challenges, but also nurture critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning. A tutor should be able to inspire confidence and build a strong rapport with the student to shape their academic success and growth in the…
A tutor's role goes beyond teaching academic content. Creating a positive learning environment, adapting to diverse learning styles, and offering clear explanations are crucial. A tutor should be more than just a teacher to them, they should be their friend, their go-to person in case of doubts and someone who's always willing to listen while…
I consider the most important things a tutor can do is not just to help the student understand the subject and hand, but also to inspire and motivate the student so they become more passionate about learning and strive to put in their best effort. Learning is so much more than memorising the syllabus and I believe it is important to help student…
I thought our tutor was very good, and was very happy with the professionalism. Many thanks Keep up the good work.,
Morgan (my son) reckons she is fantastic, and that she is really helping him out tremendously at the moment. He says he is understanding the work etc. I think the best part is that he is listening and communicating with her
Hello, I am sorry I have been so uncommunicative. Dev was lovely and I was sorry to see her go. She helped Thea very much with her maths and did herself out of a job. Thea and her teacher told me that she had caught up and was actually finishing before everyone else. I hope however, I can get Dev back if Thea's maths falls back again. She was really fantastic and can highly recommend her.
