Engineering Studies Tutor Caboolture, QLD
To never be frustrated or condescending towards a student as it undermines their ability to learn and stops them from asking questions. I am patient, and always try to break it down for students in to more easier to learn challenges. I try to identify places where students struggle and help them overcome their…

Engineering Studies Tutor Caboolture South, QLD
The most important and vital thing that a tutorcan do for a student is not only the lesson itself but also the essence/importance of the study or subject matter with a touch of personality and values development. Growing up I'm a self learner and always have the passion for continuous learning and I see that as a strength. Also, I have a keen eye…

Engineering Studies Tutor Burpengary East, QLD
Lead them in the right way of thinking and solving complicated problems. The most important thing would be to train the students to be able to think and research subjects with their own capability. Understanding the student's lack of knowledge and missing points, and explain subjects accordingly so that everything is clear. Trying to understand…

Local Reviews

Jon has tutored Callum twice on Math. His knowledge and understanding of the subject has definitely assisted Callum. He is very approachable and accommodating in travelling to Dayboro for the tutorial. Thank you for that and we hope to see you in the New Year

Inside CabooltureTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 6 student Darell worked on identifying prime and composite numbers and practiced solving problems involving square and triangular numbers.

In Year 9, Rebecca tackled simplifying algebraic ratios and multiplying/dividing like terms through step-by-step textbook questions.

Joshua, a Year 11 student, focused on trigonometry with the sine and cosine rules, as well as transposing equations to prepare for upcoming assessments.

Recent Challenges

In Year 10 Maths, one student struggled to keep revision notes organized—"keeping notes in one cohesive notebook" was highlighted as a challenge, making it harder to review tricky topics like percentage increases and inverse trig equations.

For a Year 8 learner, forgetting to bring home school materials meant key concepts (like fractions and prime numbers) were not revised between sessions.

A Year 5 student avoided homework on multiplication tables, missing vital practice that would support later factorising skills.

In senior classes, skipping steps during algebra led to confusion: "he skipped showing steps in equations, which hid sign errors," as noted by a tutor.

Recent Achievements

One Caboolture tutor noticed a real shift in Joshua, a high school student who used to hesitate before asking for help—now he's confidently speaking up whenever he gets stuck and even started doing more independent study between sessions.

Rebecca, also in high school, has begun tackling unfamiliar maths questions on her own and now admits when she doesn't understand something rather than guessing or staying silent, which is new for her.

In a recent session with a Year 3 student, Charlie was able to talk through his borrow-and-subtract steps out loud while completing his homework without needing reminders.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

I am very happy with Erin's progress, Cassie has been a great help and she communicates with Erin well , which has seen Erin progressing to a higher grade.

We could not be happier with MinJae as Adam's tutor!! Adam fist pumped the air after MinJae left last week (second session) and informed me he "absolutely loved" the session. He suits Adam perfectly and I often hear them laughing during the sessions. Adam was very comfortable with MinJae from the first session and we are truly grateful to have found him; he is polite, patient and generous with his time, not to mention extremely good at explaining mathematical processes. As a result Adam's understanding of maths has grown exponentially.

Priya has made a very positive start with her tutoring with Abdullah. He is very good at explaining concepts and seemed to understand Priya's needs very quickly. We are very happy with Abdullah.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Caboolture Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Alta-1 College - Sub Campus.
