Listening to the students need and wants and making an attempt to adapt teaching methods so that the student can easily digest and retain the information that is given to them. My ability to adapt learning patterns to tailor fit each student as an individual as not all students can learn the same way. In addition, my 10+ years of working at…
Being patient and understand things at the student's level. Breaking problems into smaller chunks for them to digest it better. It is also essential for tutors to go through foundational subject matters so that their comprehension is deepened before moving on to more complext matters. My patience in listening to them and understanding what they do…
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to use different methods of teaching to communicate the content, so the student can learn in a number of ways. Connecting interpersonally. You need to be able to understand your students in order to tutor them effectively. What they struggle with, maybe an interest of theirs, hobbies. Their emotions, when they feel frustrated, or elated. All this in order to be able to tailor the tutoring experience to the student I'm patient, but persistent. I can wait…

Every student is different! For me, an important part of tutoring is being able to convey different ideas/ways of the same concept to help a student understand it (eg. come up with different analogies to a student). This is what makes tutoring very challenging too. - Friendly and can comfortably talk to people, which can allow students to feel…

Teaching a student on how to learn on their own in such a way that they will not need a tutor in their future academic pursuits. The confidence that the students can learn on their own may act as a kick-starter to pursue their own dreams, and if the students were to succeed achieving their dream, I will be glad that I played a small part in…
I believe that the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to show them why something is the case, rather than asking them to memorise something for the sake of it. For example, if they struggled understanding the topic of completing the square, I could show them the geometric interpretation of the formula in order to demonstrate the…

I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to believe in them and show them that what they think is impossible is not and that it can be achieved with some hard work and a nudge in the right direction I think my strengths include being able to identify the student's weak areas and focusing on them to help them improve.…
1. Be understanding and compassionate, as we may not fully understand their scenario or their struggles.
2. Listening to students in regards to what their weakest areas are and implementing any methods they may want to use to address the issue (e.g. practice questions).

The important things a tutor can do to her students is to teach the lessons to students the correctly and relate this lessons not just in theory but also in practical applications. I am an engineer. I studied higher mathematics subjects in college. I am patient person and I am elated to know that I have shared what I know to other…
I think ultimately as a tutor the most important thing is developing kids confidence, In math for example, problems can seem very complicated and overwhelming and it isn't just enough showing students how to solve them but giving them the tools to approach all problems and break them down and I think In doing that difficult problems become much…
To make them feel that they are progressing and of course to be able to help them understand their lessons. I am patient. My experience as an ESL teacher honed my patience in trying to explore all avenues to teach my students any…
It's important to be understanding, to listen to what a student (or parent) wants to get out of tutoring, and to focus on the student's goals. It's also important to be clear in your teaching, and to come up with creative and interesting ways to teach each student, as every student is different. I have a very enthusiastic and positive approach to…
Understand the student's goals. Put themselves in the student's position and understand their abilities, then tailor the methods/techniques accordingly. Hopefully encourage an interest in the subject so that they want to learn more. I am highly articulate when explaining my thought processes. I like to break things down into smaller, more easily…
The most important thing a student can get from a tutor is unconditional support, and students should be assured that they have the right to ask their tutors any questions they may have. Good interacting skills and the way i adapt to every kid is what I consider as my strength.
As every individual is different, patience is very much important and…
Laura has definitely gotten Diana to a great start. She eagerly anticipates her tutoring and is seeming to take more interest in Maths especially in the strands that she did not feel very confident about.
Diana has told me that Laura's explanations are easily understood and is simplified which makes it easy to remember. She also explains various strategies that can be used for problem solving which is good for time management when attempting to solve problems in class. Diana is able to use the notes taken during tutoring in class which is assisting with her understanding of the relevant strand or concept.
Things are going really well. Emily is a lovely young woman who has engaged well with my daughter. Tia feels comfortable with her and is learning new skills. It is great.
Thanks once again for such wonderful service and professionalism. It is such a change to receive follow up and genuine interest in the service provided . Your company is to be commended!!
We asked for assistance on a short term basis to help with some exam preparation. Our tutor was quickly able to assess our daughter's capability and provide practical assistance with problem solving and techniques.
Most importantly the tutor instilled real confidence in our daughter's ability, offering encouragement, support and reinforcement all the way. We would not hesitate to contact Ezy Math for our future needs.
