Working out what a prefix might mean was tricky for him especially dis- but we were able to build all the words and to add in where more than one prefix could be used which is great for him to see how words are constructed form others to gain both meaning and ease of reading. We also discussed how language changed, unlike has a whole new meaning with social media.

Ashton picked up on this from last week and said do you think hes going to hurt himself again? We were able to predict, to discuss how the Author had set this up and He then went back and compared the two paragraphs of his own volition. with the suffixes I wrote the sound of each phonetically above the suffix so once he had sorted them he could read them all. Went through and defined them too, he knew most and was using the root word to come close to those he wasnt sure of. He has 2 and 10x tables at instant recall stage
