The best thing a chemistry tutor can do for a student is inspire them, bring the joy in learning, and change a students mindset to not give up but to instead try harder. A tutor should be able to motivate the student. They should also be able to understand the ways the student learns best to ensure they are effective in their teaching. They should…

I strongly feel as if education is the most important tool for any person, especially in today's world. Therefore to be able to pass on that knowledge is phenomenal. I believe that if one child is educated enough, to have a comfortable life, then the following generation is also automatically able to have a comfortable and sustainable life. A…

Good preparation before tutorials is essential. We also need to Know the students' ability and level of understaniding on the subjects, so that good explanations can be provided them. Besides, a little quizzes, drills and exercises may help student to be familiar to the subjects. I am patient to student. And I am eager to explain different…

I believe that there is no easy way in tutoring, the same as there is no easy way to get the answer. Whenever they are stuck it is our job to guide them through and companying them along. Whenever there are difficult times, give out the answers is never the way to solve the problem. I'm very patient when teaching my students, I wouldn't mind…

One of the most important things a chemistry tutor can do is be patient and supportive. Different people learn different things in different ways, and at different rates. A tutor must cater for that, and not skip over important things that students have not yet understood. A tutor must use the method of explaining/teaching that students will…

I think that if the student and the tutor communicate well and both parties understand each other, then it will help the student tremendously. From the perspective of a past student who's worked with tutors. I've found the best environment to learn is one that feels inviting and open to questions. I hope I can build such an environment where students do not feel worried about asking questions or use me as a resource to aid their learning. Furthermore, I think it's paramount that a…

The most important thing that a chemistry tutor should impart to a student is not about teaching any techniques or strategies to resolve any problem. It is the basic logic or algorithm behind the problem solving. As a Chinese proverb says, give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. Knowledge…

The most important thing a chemistry tutor can do for a student is not only explain an answer to a student, but actually make sure that they understand how the answer is derived and can do it themselves. There is no point in rote learning something when you can understand how an answer comes to be. As Albert Einstein said, 'Education is not the…

The most important and primary action that a chemistry tutor needs to do is to know his/her student as it elicits the tutor a good background about the student strenghts and weaknesses. This factor leads the tutor to construct an study method that is personalised and programmed based on the given student, this manifest in a more efficient and high…

As a chemistry tutor, it is important not to be restrictive in your approach and to have flexibility. Being able to personalise your approach, trying out different ways of teaching and altering it to suit the student is necessary to make them feel more at ease when learning as well as bringing out the best in them. As a chemistry tutor, you can\'t approach each student as if they are the same person learning the same subject. Each individual has different weaknesses and strengths. A good teacher can make a good difference in a student's life. A tutor can also give good guidance to the student, letting them aware of the good and bad things about life. A teacher not only teaches a subject to the student but also builds a certain part of the student's character. A teacher also builds a student's future, if a student is…

Local Reviews

We have only just started using Ezy Maths Tutoring but so far, I cannot fault them. Our tutor is fantastic, we are already seeing positive results with our daughter after just 2 sessions. The customer service so far has been great also.

Inside WantirnaTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 9 student Zoey reviewed solving quadratic equations using the discriminant and completing the square, and practiced finding turning points as well as applying Pythagoras' theorem and basic trigonometry.

For Year 10, Michael focused on consolidating his understanding of indices and surds alongside additional practice with quadratics and trigonometry problems.

Meanwhile, Year 8 student Lily worked through bearings and unit circle concepts in trigonometry, using diagrams to help visualise angle relationships.

Recent Challenges

In Year 9 maths, one student hesitated to attempt unfamiliar problems unless the exact solving method was already known, which led to slow progress and "waiting for external help."

In Year 11, a lack of attention to detail in financial maths homework—"one mixed-up tax step affected all answers"—meant time was spent correcting errors rather than building confidence.

Meanwhile, a Year 6 student often avoided writing rough working in new topics; her written solutions became jumbled and hard to follow.

Across both primary and senior levels, relying on old examples or replicating steps sometimes blocked true understanding when faced with novel tasks.

Recent Achievements

One Wantirna tutor noted a big shift in a Year 10 student who previously hesitated to ask for help; after struggling with algebra, she recently approached her teacher independently about a tricky maths problem and could explain where she was stuck.

A high schooler who had always needed prompting to check her work is now catching and correcting her own mistakes during homework review, showing much more self-reliance.

In Year 4, Maya started explaining out loud how perimeter measures the outside of shapes versus area inside—a real change from before when she mixed up the two and wouldn't talk through her thinking.

What they say about our tutoring

quote

Najib is making progress with Daniel and he feels more confident about tackling maths problems. I am sure Daniel will continue to improve under Najib's careful direction.

Before EzyMath, we had tried two different maths tutors for our son Mathew, they have been ok but not great.  I approached EzyMath because Mat wasn't really connecting with the tutors that we had sourced independently.  EzyMath put us in touch with Luke, a Uni student that lived close by. Luke was closer to Mat's age and related to him much better than just another adult telling him what to do.  Luke was flexible and would come on different days if Mat had a test that he needed to prepare for. The other thing that I love about EzyMath is that they do the character vetting for you, it's not just some random out of the paper that says they know how to teach Math.  We are thrilled with Mathew's new found confidence with this subject and would recommend EzyMath to anyone who needs a bit of extra help engaging with a subject and becoming more confident.  Happy kid is a happy parent!  Thank you EzyMath.

Mia is loving her tutor, she even said she wishes he could be her teacher because of how well he is explaining everything to her. Thank you!

Chemistry tutoring in Wantirna

Students are constantly catching up while demands become more and more complex. Meanwhile, parents struggle to be there through it all.

Sometimes all it takes is to keep an eye on your child's progress - are they turning in their assignments and are they meeting deadlines. Some students don't need more.

Chemistry Tutor Wantirna

However, sooner or later most students tend to struggle with chemistry. And once they hit that wall it's important to react right away, before the tasks pile up and become unmanageable.

That's where we come in.

If you are looking for a local chemistry tutor in Wantirna, we can assist. Your child needs someone who knows chemistry, someone who will turn up prepared for every lesson, who is available when it counts the most, but most importantly, your child needs someone who just clicks with them. Someone who recognizes their needs.

That's what we look for.

It usually doesn't take more than a day or two to match you with a local Wantirna chemistry tutor. They come to your house at a time that works for you.

And what about payment? Well, we set a simple hourly rate, no added fees or anything, as simple as that.

And if you end up not liking them? No need to worry. In that case, we consider it a risk-free trial lesson and if you're still up for it, we find you a better match.

That's all.

No nonsense, just tutoring.

Why not give it a go?

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Knox Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Yea High School-Chinese Community Centre.
